I have a keloid scar on my chest that is as wide as pencil and as long as your two front teeth. I've been using this for at least 8 years because my scar is scar tissue that continues to grow. It's becoming flatter and smoother. I can't live without this product until my scar is gone. It no longer hurts. It's no longer red. I use it daily. Cut to the size of your scar and apply. My scar is nearly non-existent, and when comparing scars with other individuals that recently received the vaccine, everyone is amazed at the appearance of mine. I used these strips, and after one week, the skin is all level and the color is improving. So far, so good. And it just keeps getting better every day. For bad scratches, they can be worn during the day. Although they are clear, they are cushiony, and about 1/8" thick. I think the people that said these are white may have another product. I'd used Mederma faithfully for several months and did see some mild improvement. I used these strips and saw greater improvement in a week! The strips are clear and even w/shorts on, very difficult for anyone to see. As long as you apply them to clean, dry skin, they'll stay in place a long time. I cut the strips to fit and will prob. end up with about 60 useable strips. Once I put two small pieces on the fine lines around my eyes for about an hour, and the area was smoothed out for several hours afterward. We used this product for two purposes: one to help cover the ulcerated burn and to help some with the scarring. We were more worried about her infecting the wound since she is a small child. These were fantastic, they stayed on the moved with her so that she was comfortable during the healing process, which was two months time. We now use them for our wounds that are large and need longer healing time. We leave them on for several days, like a band-aid. I haven't had any problems with it so far, and I've seen results in just 3 days! I had a second degree burn on my arm that blistered, and unfortunately the blister, (as they so often do), broke open. After keeping Neosporin and frequent clean bandages on it, and washing it in the shower with a mild face wash (Neutrogena Extra Gentle Fase Wash to be exact), it started healing quite well. Unfortunately, the area that burned the deepest did scar slightly. After using these Curad strips, this small, raised up, pink scar is now almost completely flat - in less than a week! I can only imagine what it will look like in 8 weeks. I'm sure it will disappear totally. Honestly, it is expensive BUT you hardly need an entire sheet. I got 5 uses out of one sheet, that's over 15 weeks of use! I love this stuff. HIGHLY recommended. Comments about Curad Scar Therapy, Silicone Pads, 21 ea: Since I just started using this product, it's hard to give an actual rating, but after reading many of the previous comments, I thought I might have some advice to share. I recently had surgery on a finger, and my doc ordered me to use these at night (in addition to massaging the area w/lotion 3 times daily) to prevent the skin from becoming tight and non-pliable -- forget about appearance! Anyway, RE: problems with sticking and removal: I've never had any issues keeping them stuck tight, but for those who have I'd be willing to guess that the area wasn't completely cleaned of residual oils (lotions, natural skin oils, etc.). This is very important! Wash the area well with an oil-free cleanser; even better, swab the area with alcohol just prior to application. To make removal waaaay easier, get it wet. I pull mine off (slowly) while holding it under warm running water at the sink. Yeah, it's really that simple. I do see a difference in that it is softer, and somewhat flatter. The color is getting better, too. I'm still hoping for better results, but that just might take more time. It also stays on much better than the Neosporin Scar Solution did, as long as you don't mess with the sheet while it is on. Luckily I've been able to cut the sheets to make the box last much longer than other people here have said. The only thing is that it's definitely not invisible like the package says. Comments about Curad Scar Therapy, Silicone Pads, 21 ea: This treatment works really well. I saw some difference in my scar in just a couple of weeks. They are easy to put on and wear. The only problem I had was they hurt when you get ready to take them off, especially if your skin is still tender or sore. I would still recommend them though. Displaying reviews 41-50
