Comments about Cuticura Pain Relieving Medicated Ointment with Phenol, 1 oz: I bought this to use after hemorrhoid surgery, and it was comforting from the first use. It has helped greatly in soothing the incredible discomfort I experienced, and I was glad to find it. No sting whatsoever. I tried lots of creams and ointments but this is great stuff - one of the best and most effective I've tried. It's good for my dry hands, too. Has a light scent that I like.

Comments about Cuticura Pain Relieving Medicated Ointment with Phenol, 1 oz: My grandmother introduced me to Cuticura Ointment when I was a child, and I've been using it ever since. I'm now almost 65 and cannot imagine being without Cuticura. I use it every night on my lips. It keeps fingers from cracking due to dryness, and helps heal most any kind of irritation. I dip the posts of my earrings in it before inserting to prevent skin irritations because I have very sensitive skin.

Comments about Cuticura Pain Relieving Medicated Ointment with Phenol, 1 oz: My Mother had this in the home and I grew up using it for various needs. This is back in the 40's!!! I don't think there is another product today that is as healing as cuticura ointment--no matter where your irritated area is. It works better than expensive steroidal ointments for hemorroids and try it on your very sore nose the next time you have a cold and your nose is bright red from blowing and wiping it.

Comments about Cuticura Pain Relieving Medicated Ointment with Phenol, 1 oz: I too have used this since I was a kid in the 50s. There were always a couple of tins in the medicine chest. My family used it for every type of skin problem you can imagine. My siblings and I even used it on mild acne during our teens and even though it is an ointment it actually helped to heal the pimples. We used it along with thorough washings with the Cuticura soap (back then there was only the original formula and it was grey. I still use the ointment and was glad to find it here as it is virtually impossible to find in the national chains (if you ask for Cuticura they don't even know what it is). The combination of ingredients is amazing as it has not only anti-microbial properties but also contains fungicidal, amoebacidal, and anti-parasitic properties. I agree with another reviewer who said "there is nothing on the market today that even comes close!" ![]() |
