I have an understairs closet that got furry-moldy one summer. I had to throw away a leather coat and some luggage that was damaged, as well as bleaching down the walls and washing the remaining coats and accessories. I always keep 1-2 bags hanging in this closet and have not had any mold issues since. You can leave them hanging in dry conditions as they only absorb existing moisture, it doesnt break down or wear out with time only. My only complaint is the deoderizing agent smells like a urinal cake, but the scent dissipates quickly if you air out the clothing a day before. I've tried the other cup-style models and find the hanging version collects the most moisture.

I really think products like this should be unscented. The perfume is so strong I haven't even taken it out of the box yet, and know there's no chance I could hang it near my clothing. So essentially, it can't be used for the purpose for which it was marketed and intended. It's monsoon season here in Phoenix, so I would have liked to use it in the linen closet next to the bathroom, but now way.

Damp rid has kept my garrage dry for years and its so easy to use. Just hang it up and change when the bottom is full. I live in the Northwest where it rains frequently all year round.
Remove from carton and discard clear plastic wrapper.
Unfold and hang with enough space to allow air circulation.
When all the white crystals have dissolved, discard in trash while holding bag upright and replace. Note - yellow fragrance beads do not dissolve.
In Case Of Spills Caused By Puncture Or Damage To Product
Hard Surface: Wipe with damp towel. Wash towel as usual.
Carpets: Dry as much as possible with damp towel. Wet spot with cool water and press dry with dry towel. Repeat. Wash towel as usual.
Clothing: Hand wash all fabrics with cool water.
