I followed the instructions multiple times and it did nothing for the mold and mildew in the bathroom. I also used it around a window sill where I noticed mold growth. I keep using it thinking that something different will happen, but it doesn't get rid of mold/mildew or the stains. I also find the smell pretty bad even though I don't use that much. At least I know it's not hurting me? It's disappointing, bec. I use other Damprid products with great success.

I used this product in the bathroom. It seems to have a protective coating to, I assume, prevent mold and mildew. The scent is nice and it does clean well. I have not notice any mold/mildew since I last used it. The price is a little expensive, but not much is needed to be applied. I continue to try products like these, thanks to Drugstore.com for having a variety to choose from!!

Most of all, I love this product because it is safe for me and my family, of course for the environment. I don't need to worry about allergy or asthma which can be triggered by chemical cleaners.
And the best part is its working power is the same as the harsh chemical cleaners in the market. I am so glad that I don't need to suffer from the strong smell of the cleaning products while cleaning. This one doesn't smell but visibly works well. I strongly recommend this product. You will love it!!

I initially used this product mainly in the bathrooms. It is effective at removing mold/mildew, although it does take more elbow grease (not that much). The big pro for me here is the lack of bleach and associated fumes/odor, which bother me & my asthma a great deal. This product does have a bit of a chemical odor, but I have found it to be mild and non-aggravating to my asthma. Also, I try to avoid/minimize bleach use for environmental reasons. In terms of prevention, I think it helped prevent but did not eliminate mold/mildew recurrence. Better than nothing.
After being pleased with this product's performance in bathroom cleaning, I was later amazed at its mildew/mold removal elsewhere. I was living in a coastal city when a significant hurricane hit, causing much destruction, flooding, water damage, mold/mildew, etc. Couldn't evacuate with everything; one thing left behind (& elevated) were some white t-shirts. Afterwards, I noticed an odd pink stain on some. Washed them, even bleached, but no luck. Tried this Damp Rid product...& stains are gone!! I'm amazed & thrilled. Product seemed gentle on fabric. One tee missed the post-treatment wash load & sat with the product on it for a wk or 2, and no worse for it.
Highly recommend! Wish I could find this locally.

I love this shower cleaner. I don't have to worry about inhaling the fumes or getting it on my hands, and it actually gets the scum and yucky black gunk off the shower door. I think it does a good job of repelling mildew too. I've tried many other products, and this one is so much better than the others that even though I can't find it locally anymore, I'll keep buying it and pay shipping for it.

There was no harsh odor because this product is totally ineffective. I tried this because of the "blocker" claim, but in my damp bathroom the mildew simply used it as food and grew at twice the rate, even though I spray every day and scrub with Ajax and a toothbrush on the weekend. Save your money, do not believe the claims!
