I love using this before styling my daughter's hair! She has very coarse African hair and the detangler works great for combing through. This works great for her and me because there is less fuss coming from her and easy styling getting done by me. Although, I wouldn't recommend this as a great conditioner or moisturizer for the hair. It's best to use this strictly for detangling the hair. Dark and Lovely Beautiful Beggining's Softening Oil Moisturizer works well for all day softness and sheen. : )

I'm a repeat buyer of this product for my 3yr old daughter african american daughter. I've tried several well-known detangling products and found that they only smell good or end up with too much build-up! What I love most of all, is that you really don't have to use this product daily! With taking the time to "brush" her hair thoroughly, using natural aloe vera gel with an old toothbrush to smooth down the edges, the next day her hair starts to straighten naturally!! Great product.

It works well, smells good, and doesn't leave any build up in my daughter's very curly hair.
