It leaves you feeling clean, but not dried out; it produces a great lather and has one of the most lovely natural lavender smells you'll ever run across. I used to buy a similar product at a health food store for triple the price, not to mention having to drive 20 miles to get to the store! My only worry is that they might quit stocking it, but, to that end, I've bulk-purchased and have an impressive hoard of this great soap. I wish it came in larger bottles. The fragrances are all great and I've tried them all. This liquid soap is better than the popular liquid soap you find on the market with the popular N name. I use it as shampoo, bodywash, handsoap, face cleanser, and detergent to hand wash clothes when traveling. It has REAL essential lavender oil scent, not artificial fragrance scent. I absolutely loathe fake lavender scent. Real lavender is more of camphor scent that is sharp and sinus clearing to the nose. It also doesn't make huge does of lather, which I like and appreciate. Foaming agent used in product has nothing to do with actual cleaning. It's there for texture, because people associate good cleaning with a lot of lather.
