The smell is not overpowering so you can even use it at night and not feel you're in a perfume factory. I like the light fresh scent. I don't think this product was meant as an air freshener to eliminate heavy odors, but more to "freshen" up the room. I really like it. I iron my work shirts with it - just put it in the iron in place of water and clothes smell amazing!
