This is a great moisturizer. It smells great. it is all natural. Living in a hot and dry climate as I do can really zap the moisture from your skin. I also suffer from mild eczema. De-luxe shea butter moisturizes my skin all day. The price is also very nice. I have seen other shea butters costing much more.

Perhaps I was naive when I purchased this, but I was expecting a creamy consistency for this body butter. I got this because it's more natural and paraben-free. However, I would definitely not have purchased it had I known that you had to warm it between your hands before applying, and even then it's horribly difficult to smooth over my skin.

Otherwise, it is very moisturizing and the lavender one smells just like it, without being strong and lingering for ages. I only removed one star because of the consistency that I was not expecting, which is not the product's fault. I, however, will not be using the rest and only wish I could return it.

I've used many brands & I love this, so pure & natural and it has a hint of lavender which makes me smile. I use it summer or winter. I take a pea size of the butter, smooth/melt it on my finger tips, & pat on my face. It is wonderful & it didn't cause any break-outs like those Regenerist & Avon products. The price is awesome too. I tell everyone I know about this. :)

Since you have to dig up the shea butter out of the container and then melt it in your palms before applying, it does take a little while. If you're in a rush, this is a real pain. But I frankly like the time it takes -- it allows you to appreciate the great lavender scent and ultimately makes moisturizing a pleasurable ritual.
It really softens the skin, but is a bit greasy afterward. The fact that it's all natural, however, more than makes up for that for me.

I tried this out with some trepidation, as I've been on a long search for solutions to my severely dry skin. This shea butter works better than most lotions or body butters I have tried, but it's just short of perfect. The plus side: It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. I like to put it on my hands, feet, and elbows before bed, and I wake up with wonderfully soft skin. As a bonus, I also have found it helps with my cuticles and the cracked skin on my hands (as I said, my skin is extremely dry). This shea butter takes a few minutes to absorb into the skin, but that's always true of 100% shea butter, and this does feel nice once it's soaked in.

On the down side, though, I'm really not crazy about the "lavender" scent. The smell is not offensive, exactly, but it is strong and it lingers. This is another reason I tend to put it on before bed, so I can wear it overnight, but switch to a more pleasant-smelling lotion during the day.

This product is worth a try for its moisturizing properties, but I'm going to keep hunting for an equally moisturizing, but better-smelling, alternative.

The overpowering Lavender scent made it impossible for my daughter to use this product. I have a son with asthma, and the scent was so strong he had trouble breathing around her.

I loved this product. It has the most moisture that I have found on the market that after absorbing it is not greasy. Long lasting!
