Shea butter takes a bit more patience to use than other heavy-duty moisturizers -- it's easier to spread if you let it melt in your hand first, and it takes thirty seconds or so to really sink in (after that, it's not greasy at all). Aside from those minor issues, I've never gotten more moisture bang for my buck from any other product. The scent is light, and fades quickly, which I prefer. And once it soaks in, it has a much more comfortable feeling than most petroleum- or oil-based products I've tried. I use it instead of lip balm, and find it doesn't clog the pores around my lips like petroleum-based lip balms do. And it's great for any kind of dry skin in any area -- elbows, feet, anywhere. As one example, when winter-dry skin on my hands is driving me crazy, I'll spread it on my hands before bedtime -- it's almost like a protective glove all the next day, and my hands are baby soft. The need to reapply the next day is rare, although I sometimes use lotion to supplement it. I've even used it as an eye cream, and when my entire face was chapped from the wind, I've used it sparingly as a facial moisturizer. No problems, excellent results. However, lavender has been added to it so it is not "pure". Often if you go into health food places or beauty supply shops you may be fortunate to find truly "pure" shea butter. It is generally in the form of yellowish chunks. With that said, I would still buy this again. It does not have an overwhelming scent and it does help moisturize skin. Pros

Great to use at night after the shower; it does take time to get absorbed into the skin but worth the wait. I really like that the ingredients list out just two things: shea butter and lavender oil!

But after one use of this product I could tell that it was well worth my money. I have been using this product for about four days now and it has left my snake skin legs feeling smooth and has greatly reduced the appearance of the scale like dryness. I only use this product after I get out of the shower but it lasts all day. I will be buying this product again. Pros

Living in a hot and dry climate as I do can really zap the moisture from your skin. I also suffer from mild eczema. De-luxe shea butter moisturizes my skin all day. The price is also very nice. I got this because it's more natural and paraben-free. However, I would definitely not have purchased it had I known that you had to warm it between your hands before applying, and even then it's horribly difficult to smooth over my skin. Pros

Comments about de-luxe Shea Butter 100% Pure, 3.5 fl oz: I've used many brands & I love this, so pure & natural and it has a hint of lavender which makes me smile. I use it summer or winter. I take a pea size of the butter, smooth/melt it on my finger tips, & pat on my face. It is wonderful & it didn't cause any break-outs like those Regenerist & Avon products. The price is awesome too. I tell everyone I know about this. :)
