Finally finished my jar and not a moment too soon! This is unlike any shea product I've used. The body butter pills!!!! I thought I was using the butter too soon out of the shower and was too damp for it to be absorbed, so I waited longer than usual until I was bone dry and the butter still pilled. Since I hate throwing things out, I took the butter to work for use as a hand cream-still pilled. Never again will I purchase anything from this line. 1 star is too good for it; I'd give a 0 star if I could.

I finally got this in the mail and tried it for the first time. I was a little concerned that so many people on this site said it smelled awful.

Well, all of those people are wrong, either that or they're so used to heavily perfumed stuff full of harsh chemicals that others, like myself, are allergic to, they have ruined their sense of smell.

It's a great product. It's a little greasy but it works wonders on sensitive allergy-prone dry skin!! If you use it overnight, it absorbs better. It doesn't smell any worse than Ivory soap in my opinion. :)

Yeah, I love this stuff. I was kind of freaked out when it was unavailable. I hope drugstore.com carries it forever. Winters in Vermont are extreme on skin; this is the best stuff I've ever used. I use it from head to toe. Thank you for getting it back.

I just received this in the mail and it does smell bad. It also didn't absorb well. I don't think I can use it even at night because of the smell.

I use a lot of lotions. I tend to prefer body butter over lotion because body butter is thicker and moisturizes better. Water-based lotions don't really address ethnic skin care needs, but this does. It does go on a bit greasy, it will have you shining... but it is a good moisturizer for ethnic skin. It lasts throughout the day, so I usually apply it before bed or right after out of the shower. It is a lightly scented, thick body butter type lotion. It's better than the highly scented specialty shop store lotions, it moisturizes better, and is less expensive.
I absolutely love it!!!

My daughter's mother-in-law gifted me with two jars at Christmas. I had not ever heard of the product but decided to try it. Am I glad that I did! Because i have inherited a somewhat wrinkle-free complextion I haven't been as dilegent about face cremes - especially night-time ones. But even with the Blessing of great skin I have noticed an improvement at that. A month ago I started using it on the bottoms of my feet especially the heels & it responds to my dry feet very nicely. I am one Happy Camper with this creme & I should have suffficient number of jars now to last me through to the end of the year.

I initially discovered this product a few years ago after working barefoot in the garden for years and tried it on my feet - magic. At the time It had a wonderful smell of lavender.

Lately, with my hands in water most of the time at work, I started using it again and found that applying this during the middle of the day kept my nails for getting so brittle and splitting. It does not go on smoothly, particularly, and is rather like trying to rub soft wax into your skin, but it doesn't feel waxy after it is absorbed and works great on dry nails/toenails. I am going to try this again as the product is great. I am afraid though from what I am reading here, is that the wonderful scent of lavender has been changed. The product works well in any case. We will see.

I liked this product, but if you touch around your mouth after having applied the lotion using your hands, the taste of it is rather bothersome. Also, the smell kind of makes me nauseous. I had a friend apply it instead so I wouldn't chance tasting it. I think it works well, but I wish the smell didn't make me nauseous.
