The gel is hard to use,u must gently massage for 5min to allow absorption.

I ordered this while in Afghanistan. While I was deployed my skin looked absolutely awful and I had some intense acne scars. I bought this to get rid of the scarring on my face but lo and behold, it actually helped clear up my acne and prevent new breakouts. I know it doesn't claim to do that, but it is obviously VERY good for your skin. The only thing is--it defininitely did nothing for my stretch marks, a secondary reason for buying this. I used it steadily on stretch marks on my thighs for three months and it did nothing which is the only reason I gave it a 4

i have a chihuahua who does not like to get her nails cut very often. She scratched me on my wrist and it looks like i cut myself, so i clearly wanted it to fade so that people wouldn't think that I'm a wrist-cutter. I applied this about once a day for a little over a week and it has considerably lightened. I'm hispanic with an olive complexion so the results are pretty amazon. I'm starting to use it on my face and back to help with acne scars and on my thighs and hips to help lighten my stretch marks from puberty. I will post an update within a month to see if it has gotten any better. I also posted a pic of my scar to show how light it is... it used to be much darker.

Lesson learned on March 3, 2011…never use a plastic milk crate as a step stool to take down your Christmas lights on front porch. It held me for a nano-second then I fell straight down into the crate while the shattered plastic sides scraped my legs from the ankles to my knees.

Gravity took over and I fell (all 250 lbs of me) backwards and landed with a thunk flat on my back smacking my head on the wood porch.
Blood? Heck yes. No cell phone in my pocket (do not own one), no one around, all alone bleeding profusely on my front porch. Whew. Got up and tip-toed into the house in my now blood soaked Birkenstocks, got the phone, dialed 911 and waited on the line as I waited for the medics. Shock was setting in and the dispatcher was very comforting. Now the short version of how I found this life-saving scar gel.

The ER doc had to stitch a total of 22 inches of my skin (both legs). I had 26 stitches in my left leg and 20 in my right leg. I was treated at the Advanced Wound care clinic for 3 months every week to dress and re-dress and address the healing of my wounds. No shower for 3 months.
Everyone recommended Mederma (or something to that effect) for the scars. I researched it on line and read the reviews for it ( I always read the reviews on any product I buy on line) and then saw the price. Local stores carried it but it was very expensive for the .7 ounce tube.

This product, SCAR GEL, had the same ingredients and the reviews were excellent (even mentioning the Mederma). For the price and what I had to use it for - three 4" scars and one 4" diameter scar on right leg and a 5" diameter scar on left leg - SCAR GEL is perfect. Easy to use. Keep One jar at bedside and one by recliner in TV room.
Got rid of all milk crates.
Besides using SCAR GEL, I am now safe in my own home through a Medic-alert Panic button (you know the commercial, "Help I've fallen and I can't get up"). Thats me. (I am only 59) and strongly recommend anyone living alone invest in this miracle techno product.

i bought this stuff only a week ago, and already i have seen improvements in my scars. i used mederma for 3 months, and unfortunately it did nothing. at times, i felt it made me scar look more red and more noticable. i initially bought this product for a scar on my chin that is about 9 months old now. in a week already i've noticed that it is becoming less red and less pronounced. not a miracle yet, but i am seeing fast results. i used to use so much concealer and foundation on it, but now all i need is some foundation and powder and it's barely noticable. also, i have pock marks on my face from teenage years of picking, and nothing works on those besides surgury (before i actually believed that statement, i tried EVERYTHING for them.) although i know those won't ever go away with products, derma e has help improved them a bit. they are less indented, and it seems derma e is help smoothing them out.. i've been using this with the derma e tea tree and e antiseptic and my skin has honestly never looked better. i would reccommend this for anyone struggling with scars. the only reason i gave it a 4 out of 5 is because i've only been using it a week. only time will tell the true outcome.

I've tried them all...the expensive OTC brands and prescriptions. This is by far the best scar treatment I've ever used. One little container lasted over a year. Noticeable improvements to a large scar on my arm within a few weeks. A year later and it looks completely different - much smoother and less noticeable.

I bought this product because I have small bumps on my chest due to sun damage. I think a dermatologist said they were like scar tissue protecting the delicate skin. I don't see the bumbs as much as feel them. However, after using this product, they have softened and my skin is much smoother and softer. I will keep using it, as I am on my first jar and it looks as if it will last a long time.

Nothing that I know of will totally eliminate a scar, but to get it less red, less noticable... that is a true achievement. And to all potential purchasers out there, scar treatment is a long term commitment.
I have several very old surgical scars and used this product religiously twice a day and have noticed that they are now nice and skin colored, and not so noticable. I have also used them on stretch marks and got better results than with Strivectin.
The real test was when I used it on my dog, who had had major surgery on its hip after being kicked by former owners. The area was raised, red, and hairless. Twice a day for three months of this product has produced a smooth, skin-colored strip, smaller in size and is even sprouting hair!
Overall I can not be more pleased with this product.
