I have been using Dermalogoica Microfoliant for three years and I can't live without it. I had horrible adult acne in my 20's and it wasn't until I went to a medical spa that offered Dermalogica facials that my skin started to clear up.
I use this in combination with Dermalogica's Medibac skin wash and Active Moist. But what is most important is that once every few weeks I perform a peel of 25% lactic acid on my skin. This is the key to clear skin - exfoliation. But I couldn't handle harsh scrubs and micro-exfoliation only made my sensitive skin worse. Gentle lactic acid peels were my solution. You have to super moisturize the skin after every peel and don't dare use warm water or any other exfoliant for 48 hours afterwards. But once the skin starts to flake off to reveal new skin (about day 3), use Dermalogica's Microexfoliant to help speed up the process (so you don't have to endure the next couple of days with flaky skin). It's super gentle on my post-peel skin and so long as I use cool water, I don't get red or irritated.

I had multiple pimples - blackheads but mostly cysts - coming up as usual around my stress areas (chin and cheeks). I tried many things over the years and found that the scary abrasives like Proactiv or exfoliating cremes didn't work or created a need for themselves.
Got a facial with an incredible aesthetician in DC and she explained the problem and FIXED it!
Oil, dirt, stress, create the perfect storm. The solution is this microfoliant, used in combination with a glycolic acid facewash and night cream. I've recommended it to many friends-- all of whom now trust it to keep them clear. It also serves to sustain the results of a glycolic peel or microderm abrasion treatment. I can't get facials where I live now, but this combination of this (3x per week) and glycolics keeps me clear. It's amazing stuff. BUY it so it stays on the market!!!! .... and so you your face will shine too.

This was recommended to my husband (who has oily, acne-pron skin) during a facial. When he brough it home, I ended up using it myself.It can be a bit messy, so I prefer to use it in the shower. It makes my 40+ skin feel baby soft and it is very gentle, so I can use it every day.The only negative I can think of is the price. But, tend to switch between cleansers, so a container lasts me for a few of months. At [$], it's cheaper than a facial!

I am always looking for the next new thing that's going to solve all my problems. For the longest time I used philosophy's microdelivery wash and it worked great. When it was time to refill, I poured over reviews for different daily exfoliators and came across raves for this one. Well, they weren't kidding; it lives up to the hype.
After experimenting with different mixtures, I have found that I don't like using it with water as it dissolves too quickly (which is why this only got 4 stars from me). What I do is mix it with a cleanser. I also use about 1/2 the recommended amount (down to 1/4 tsp. rather than 1/2) and found no difference in performance, making this an even better value.
I have never had "bad" skin, just some periodic roughness, redness, and minor breakouts, which is why I like to exfoliate daily. Well, I'm not sure I'll ever go back to the philosophy wash. I am a little concerned that I'm wasting both cleanser and this to get the achieved consistency, but overall, I am really impressed. My skin glows when I'm done, and leaves my face so soft (my hands, too, for that matter!). No irritation at all, but I did get a little over-zealous and use it twice a day the first few days and it was drying around my chin. Once I went back to just once a day, it's perfection.
For reference, I have sensitive, combination skin, with an oily t-zone (very oily forehead).

Some products are worth paying extra, and this is certainly one. There is a huge improvement in my 60-year-old skin when I use this: Brightness, clarity, smoothness, looking "alive". Drugstore.com is the best price I have so far discovered.
