My esthetician suggested I use this, and I am hooked! It really improved my skin texture. I can now go out without any foundation and my skin looks great. It is also non-greasy and the 3.4 ounce size lasts almost 4 months.

After receiving a gift cert. for a facial, I was introduced to the Dermalogica line. Their products are fantastic! For years I had suffered from dry, flaky, sensitive skin. I had tried most of the Neutrogenas and Olays, but for the most part these products provided only temporary relief from dryness, or I reacted negatively to their chemicals. The Dermalogica products, especially this cream, leave my face feeling soft and moisturized. My skin looks and feels younger too! Yes, it's more expensive than what I had typically spent in the past, but IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT! I will never ever go back to the popular drugstore brands (I hope this company stays in business for ever!)

I have tried too many products to count in the search for one that would manage my clogged pores without creating alligator skin. An aesthetician at a Dermalogica salon turned me on to their products--not only do I not have blackheads as I once thought, I need to moisturize daily to manage my oil production. This moisturizer is great; my skin feels full & plump, but not oily or greasy.

I am an avid beauty.com shopper, however, disclaimer, I purchased mine directly from Dermalogica in Santa Monica after one of their signature facials 2 years ago. I returned home to NYC, and added it to my rotation of potions and lotions. I found it to be one of the best I've found for my skin, gentle, glides on. The result? my skin feels nourished, and, more importantly, a great base for makeup, as my makeup looks great on top of it. I was just back in Santa Monica last week, and bought my second container of it (bummed I didn't know it was even on drugstore.com, nevermind on sale!). I find all the things I loved before are still true. For me, it wasn't thick enough for the NYC winters, so I ended up converting to something heavier for those months, and then using the first bottle up sporadically, but always liking it (also, I had bought with the gentle booster). That's why I went back for the second facial and bought the products again!For comparision, Dr. H's rose day cream provides a similar result for me. I am of Irish descent, very fair, and get that redness in my face (the gentle booster is great on that). I've been using Dr. Brandt's laser tight, which might be what I need again when winter comes, but in the meantime, I am using the dermalogica.There is nothing fancy about this product, it's very plain (practically no smell, simple, clean packaging), so if that's what you like, this will probably disappoint. Also, this is a large bottle, 3.4 oz, and lasts awhile, so the higher price is actually a bargain of sorts.
