I am an avid beauty.com shopper, however, disclaimer, I purchased mine directly from Dermalogica in Santa Monica after one of their signature facials 2 years ago. I returned home to NYC, and added it to my rotation of potions and lotions. I found it to be one of the best I've found for my skin, gentle, glides on. The result? my skin feels nourished, and, more importantly, a great base for makeup, as my makeup looks great on top of it. I was just back in Santa Monica last week, and bought my second container of it (bummed I didn't know it was even on drugstore.com, nevermind on sale!). I find all the things I loved before are still true. For me, it wasn't thick enough for the NYC winters, so I ended up converting to something heavier for those months, and then using the first bottle up sporadically, but always liking it (also, I had bought with the gentle booster). That's why I went back for the second facial and bought the products again!For comparision, Dr. H's rose day cream provides a similar result for me. I am of Irish descent, very fair, and get that redness in my face (the gentle booster is great on that). I've been using Dr. Brandt's laser tight, which might be what I need again when winter comes, but in the meantime, I am using the dermalogica.There is nothing fancy about this product, it's very plain (practically no smell, simple, clean packaging), so if that's what you like, this will probably disappoint. Also, this is a large bottle, 3.4 oz, and lasts awhile, so the higher price is actually a bargain of sorts.

Normally, my skin is not particularly dry or oily, but this winter I needed something richer than my year-round moisturizer (Dermalogica's Active Moist, which I love). I alternate some combination of the Active Moist, the Super Rich Repair, and this Skin Smoother daily, twice a day, and I find the skin smoother a perfect medium between the three. Just started using it, but so far, I really like it!

This is a moisturizer that can work for anyone, I have sensitive skin and cannot use any fragrances, etc. This is one of the only moisturizers I have ever been able to use and it's fabulous for adding extra moisture in dry months.

It really feels great going on and when it on. No fragrance but still smells pleasant and does not have a chemical smell. It's a little expensive, I use it nightly, shop around.

I have used this cream for years. I have very sensitive skin and cannot use products with fragrance. This cream does not irritate my skin and has no fragrance. I use it every morning as a day cream.

My esthetician suggested I use this, and I am hooked! It really improved my skin texture. I can now go out without any foundation and my skin looks great. It is also non-greasy and the 3.4 ounce size lasts almost 4 months.
