I purchased the DermaNew after reading several reviews stating that it was comparable to the Clairsonic. I felt that the batteries drain very quickly, leaving the brush running slowly without fresh batteries. The brushes are hare to remove and attach. The brush heads do not spin, just vibrate (I'm not sure I see the point?) The Clairsonic boasts that it can clean better than any other method because of the spinning brush getting the skin cleaner. I could have gotten the same effect with the Neutrogrena brand vibrating facial cleaner. The MicroDermabraision cream is supposed to be specialized for sensitive skin, but left my face very raw, dry, and flaky with only using it once per week.

I think I'm going to purchase the Clairsonic and cut my losses on the DermaNew

This product is nice for a deep cleaning removal of makeup. I use 1-2 times per week with Image skin care micro derm cleanser/mask and then the Vital C night mask. My skin feels smoother and it helps even out the skin tone. However, make no mistake, this product DOES NOT replace a professional microdermabrasion for deep cleaning of pores and fine lines as I had hoped it would. All in all, I am satisfied with this product for an in-home treatment and will continue to use, but I still think professional microderm treatments yield better results. I am thinking of trying the Clarisonic but I have a feeling it will not replace professional treatments either. You get what you pay for!

Leaves skin soft. Have not experienced redness or dryness (use twice a week. Has a two minute timer but you have to guess the appropriate time to spend in each area (or use a stop watch)- wish it had an alarm/beep similar to Clarisonic.
