This is a wonderful product. I pour some tree tea oil in a bottle of witch hazel and use it as a toner. I also henna my hair, and pour some in the henna mixture. Tree tea oil also repels lice, just an added bonus.I used to suffer from severe acne. I was on accutane twice, once when I was 19, and again at age 26. Until just a couple of years ago, I constantly had to treat with a dermatologist to keep me face from erupting. But I've found some natural products that have given me beautiful skin for the first time in my life. My routine goes like so:
First I pre-cleanse my face with jojoba oil. I pour about four drops on my palm and rub it onto my face for a couple of minutes. Sometimes I will then press a warm wet cloth against my face to bring out dirt/grime. Then I wash my face with a gentle cleaner. I do this morning and night.
Second I use a witchhazel/tree tea oil toner. I add about a 1/2 oz. of tree toil to a bottle of witch hazel and it makes the most amazing toner I've ever used.
Third I use benzoyl peroxide. You won't need this if you are not acne prone.
Fourth I use a face cream with glycolic acid. Aqua Glycolic and [@] have good products. The glycolic acid encourages rapid skin growth and helps keep your skin clear. Supposedly it is a good anti-aging product.
In the morning I then apply sunscreen, at least 50 SPF.
If my skin still needs it, I apply moisturizer. At night I mix a couple drops of jojoba oil in my moisturizer. I don't add the oil in the morning because it's a little greasy. And my makeup won't stay on if I have jojoba oil on my skin. But the JO is an amazing make-up remover!
This is the best regimen I have found - when I tell people who haven't known me for years that I used to have cystic acne, they can't believe it.

I have mildly sensitive, normal (neither dry nor oily), acne-prone skin. This product made my skin very dry and extremely sensitive. It caused immediate skin irritation -- redness, peeling, and somewhat worsened acne in the areas where I used it. (And I diluted it with water.) It did seem to have some antiseptic value, but not equal to that of hydrogen peroxide or benzoyl peroxide. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with even slightly sensitive skin unless tested in a tiny area first, and I would never use it on a pet. (My dog was attracted to the fragrance of it, and I wouldn't want a pet to ingest something this strong.) It's not the worst thing I ever tried (it didn't cause a rash), and the negative effects started to disappear the day I stopped using it, but it was a total waste of money for me.

Comments about Desert Essence 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil, 2 fl oz:

I have been using tea tree oil for about a month now. I heard that for some people it can clear acne, so I decided to try it. I use it in the morning after showering. I put it on as a toner on my face. For the acne that is already on my face, I feel like it doesn't do too much to help it go away. However, the tea tree oil has significantly kept my acne at bay. My acne has gone down by 98%. Not kidding. This stuff is really great I can even put it on rashes and they stop itching and disappear quickly. Beware, sometimes it will burn my face. I definitely recommend this product.

Comments about Desert Essence 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil, 2 fl oz:

This is really an amazing oil. I use it for my dandruff, and it has help get rid on the flaky scalp i had. I have used so many products in the past, but this has work the best. Plus is all natural.

There are many tools for this oil, but as far as a Dandruff controller, it is very good.

Comments about Desert Essence 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil, 2 fl oz:

I usually grab a cotton pad, and hold it over my toner's bottle then tip it over to wet it a little then do the same thing afterwards with the TTO, and wipe it all over my face. It actually dries out the pimple without making the other part of your face [feel] dry. It's great for my cystic acne, they disappear withing 3-4 days. It's also perfect for white heads, no need to pop them yourself, just simply dab some TTO on them. After about a week of use, twice a day, I've got compliments on my skin. My skin has never been this clear, and lots of people were surprise, I've got a few of my cousins to use it and loved it, though, it did nothing for my two sisters.

It does wonder, and I just recently used it on a cut also, and..it's healing great!

This is seriously a cure all product. It can be used for SO many things, just Google it and be amazed. I became familiar with tea tree oil by using desert essence thoroughly clean face wash and after suffering with constant acne for 10+ years my acne became "normal" only popping up during the expected time of my menstrual cycle. For a long time I was satisfied using that face wash and still using Neutrogena on the spot benzyol peroxide but wanted to go all organic... when I tried this product mixed with aloe vera I became virtually acne free. Not to mention it is miracle pain reliever for unmentionable sores and blistering!

Hooray for this product! My electrologist introduced me to it and the wonderful ability it has to take inflamation out of swollen areas on the face, it also works to rid finger nails and toe nails from any sort of fungus, it dries up fever blisters in two days and as a routine during colds and flu season; I add a few drops to my bath water and hit the jets on the jacuzzi. Haven't had one cold all winter and I have a poor immune system due to MS. Great stuff - 5 stars all the way!!

This is the best stuff for cystic acne! I have tried sooooo many things for those deep painful pimples that take weeks to go away and always leave a scar. I add a couple drops of this to a cotton ball and apply it to any kind of blemish 2 times a day, and the thing lasts maybe two days. Most of the time nothing even erupts! Tea tree is great for penetrating the deeper layers of skin to treat pimples before they have a chance to reach surface. It's also great for minor cuts and insect bites. Stinks like stale carrot cake. But worth the stench for the results it gives.

When applied as a spot treatment, it made each blemish swell and feel very tender. When applied to my entire face, it felt cool. And then I got a bunch of new blemishes the next day. And the day after and so on, until I stopped using it. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it has helped rid my husband's toenails of that ishy yellow color! :) Oh, and the bottle was very messy. No dropper top!

For my skin and my husband's it has worked better then benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Tea Tree oil does work...You must use a concentration of above 5% or you will be aggravating the bacteria, which will only produce more pimples.

I use tea tree oil diluted for many topical applications such as cuts, scratches (especially cat scratches), bug bites, pierced ear irritations. Add it to shampoo and body soap for antiseptic qualitites. A fish-safe product (1 drop/500 gallons water) to keep my koi from acquiring infections from minor abraisions.
