An esthetician at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa recommended this product to me and it works beautifully. If I see a break out coming on, I just roll on tea tree oil and the break out never happens. I use this product on my face, chest, neck, back. I have very sensitive skin and often struggle to find products that don't irritate my skin and/or cause hives. This one is excellent and it is an all natural product. The two drawbacks are that when you first put it on, it may sting a little and your skin may turn pink. The stinging subsides almost immediately and the redness goes away after a couple of minutes. Despite these drawbacks, I would highly recommend this product. Used to use acne clearing solutions with salicylic acid on the pimples, however they cause a little drying & flakiness. Both are good, however find myself using the Desert Essence Blemish Stick with Tea Tree Oil exclusively @ this time. Use it only before bedtime because of the smell of Tea Tree Oil, product recommends treatment many more times a day. Am going to purchase more from drugstore.com. (enjoy shopping here because of the reviews; very helpful in decision making & free shipping). While taking an antibiotic for a cat bite my skin totally cleared the way it previously had been for @ least 95% of my life. Am 60 years old & have had a small amount of Rosacea breakout issues for less than a year now. Help! Pros Cons

I recently switched over from the harsh, benzyl peroxide treatments to this more natural and healthy solution. The smell is strong, but not medicinally. I've grown to actually like the spicy smell. It's very easy to apply, and it works fast! I usually apply this day and night, but I notice that it seems most effective at night. I apply it before I go to bed, and in the morning I notice a significant decrease in swelling and redness without being overly drying. Sometimes it stings when you put it on because of the alcohol, but that's a sign of it working! Pros

I also used it for a spot and it also quickly cleared up. This is not drying like other acne products. Remember, the trick to acne is not touching your face, and regular washing and moisturizing. But when one pops up, this will do the trick and not harm your skin. Pros

Not a huge fan of the smell of this or other natural desert essence products, but I have to say with the results, it is worth it! I own several other desert essence products and so far I love them all. This was just a random brand I found and tried, didn't know it would become my main face care brand!!
