First, I love the smell. I have pretty extreme allergies to fragrances, but these (including the other scents by Desert Essence) don't bother my nose. It's hard to find a natural conditioner that smells yummy, or even appealing, that doesn't bother my allergies. I have dry, long, and curly hair that I can only comb when it's wet. This conditioner leaves my hair combable without weighing it down, or saturating it with chemicals. The conditioner is thick and I either have to add more water when I put it on to spread it throughout my hair, or I have to use more of the product, but I would rather deal with that than have the fake chemicals do it for me, or have the company water it down for me. I leave it on while I finish my shower and when I finally rinse it, my hair feels soft and smooth.I have been using these conditioners for over a year now...apple, grape, and raspberry...I love them. I'm not the kind of person who spends [$] on a bottle of conditioner, but I love them enough to do so!!!

This stufff smells great, but there isn't enough slip or moisture for my tight curly (3c) hair. It did offer shine and improved texture (less frizz), but getting the comb through was impossible. I also had to use nearly half the bottle to cover my hair. Won't buy again.

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner for Damaged Hair, Italian Red Grape, 8 fl oz:

I love this brand, the Coconut one specifically. It smells great and really detangles and moisturizes my hair perfectly. Unfortunately, I'm deployed and decided to try the "Italian Grape" [...] By comparison the odor is totally over-the-top...it's a mix between grape cough syrup and grape hubba-bubba bubble gum. Further, it doesn't moisturize or detangle as well either. Very disappointed!

I recently developed a number of physical problems so I went gluten free and have greatly improved. I decided to use gluten free hair produces and to my amazement my dandruff went away.

I bought this in conjunction with the shampoo...seems to work okay I'm just not a fan of the smell. I do feel, though, that my hair is a little greasy the next day.

I love this conditioner! It's lightweight, doesn't leave my hair feeling gummy, rinses out easily, and smells great. I have normal hair, but I do dye it. This is a great daily conditioner. I also highly recommend the shampoo.

This conditioner is the worst I've ever used. No matter how much you use, it leaves your hair a rat's nest that cannot be combed out.

Smell is nice, but gets very sugary sweet. Made my hair soft at first, and then started really weighing my hair down, making it quite gunky - only after one bottle. Won't buy again.

Nice and light conditioner, not greasy or oily. But the grape juice scent is overpowering. Would love some lighter scents in this mild formula.

Smells and works great; it made my hair silky soft without the feeling of build up residue. Works great with the shampoo and I love how it is organic, natural, cruelty free and parabens free.
