I have pretty extreme allergies to fragrances, but these (including the other scents by Desert Essence) don't bother my nose. It's hard to find a natural conditioner that smells yummy, or even appealing, that doesn't bother my allergies. I have dry, long, and curly hair that I can only comb when it's wet. This conditioner leaves my hair combable without weighing it down, or saturating it with chemicals. Even though it says it for thickening...it works for my already thick hair! The conditioner is thick and I either have to add more water when I put it on to spread it throughout my hair, or I have to use more of the product, but I would rather deal with that than have the fake chemicals do it, or have the company water it down for me. I leave it on while I finish my shower and when I finally rinse it, my hair feels soft and smooth.I have been using these conditioners for over a year now...apple, grape, and raspberry...I love them. I'm not the kind of person who spends[$] on a bottle of conditioner, but I love them enough to do so!!! VS Most Liked Negative Review Just OK This conditioner is just "OK". The apple smells good, but not the ginger part. It is a very very mild conditioner, so if you are looking for something to smooth out your hair and add moisture, this is not going to work. I like this brand's shampoo, but would not recommend the conditioner. Cons Best Uses Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: So hard to find products without unwanted additives - this brand is consistent in that respect. It made my hair very soft and helped the texture (no frizzies). Smell is very nice, but dissipates and won't interfere with other products or perfumes. I have tried tons of products and this is the best yet

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: Really like this duo. Scent is glorious to me. Do not like to eat green apples, but love the aroma of them. How do they do it !? Just keep doing it please. Secondarily, it does the work very well. Additional body building products(volume gels, etc.) are not a must with this product;a first experience for me. By the way, I do use an aloe gel (a very pure/chemical free one) worked on hands and then smoothed over the crown and down to tame the usual fly-aways. Use more if you want more hold. I find this an effective, simple, non chemical hair spray alternative. Also, the no-scent of the gel does not interfere with the the delicious apple smell. A note on the conditioner; as someone else said here, I also leave it on the full recommended two minutes,at least. With the shampoo,a little does a lot. The cond. takes a bit more. So worth the moderate price...

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: I didnt even notice how the product made my hair feel, I couldnt get over the way it smells. I LOVE the smell of apple, but this didnt smell like apple at all. All I could smell was ginger and once my hair was washed and dried it just smelled like BO. I was extremely disappointed! I have thin hair with lots of body and I was so excited to use this product. I have a whole bottle of the stuff now thats only been used once and no one in my family will use it. Huge disappointment.

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: I have very straight, longish, fine hair with NO natural volume, so I usually only condition once a week because most weigh my hair down too much... until now. I swear, this really does make a difference in the texture of my hair. The scent is lightly and refreshing but not overpowering, and I'm very "scentsitive" so that means a lot to me. I don't notice the ginger as much as the apple! And the fact that it's 100% vegan and free of the usual suspect of chemicals makes me feel even better about using it.

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: I purchased this because I wanted to see how wonderful it smells.....which it is definitely a refreshing smell. I already have thick hair so this is more for someone who has fine hair. It does the job of making my hair shaft appear thicker and stronger. I also like that it is vegan and gluten free so I can feel safe using it.

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: This conditioner is just "OK". The apple smells good, but not the ginger part. It is a very very mild conditioner, so if you are looking for something to smooth out your hair and add moisture, this is not going to work. I like this brand's shampoo, but would not recommend the conditioner.

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: I am very satisfied with this conditioner. It makes my hair soft, shiney and thicker! Plus it doesn't make it oily. A lot of other conditioners leave my hair too soft and flat and oily. This one gives great body as well. The smell is very lite, which I prefer, especially since I use both the shampoo and the conditioner.

Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: The smell is amazing and works well. It's a little pricey, but I feel it's worth the splurge. Comments about Desert Essence Conditioner, Thickening for Fine Hair, Green Apple & Ginger, 8 fl oz: Works well and leaves my hair manageable and smooth, but I cannot stand the smell. The initial smell is apple-y, but then the "ginger" takes over and stinks to high heaven for me. It lingers all day in my hair and even after shampooing and using a different conditioner the next day. (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
