Been using this for about 2 years with no problems. it's my daily moisturizer under my makeup. Used Oil of Olay and Clinique for many years before trying this. their basic moisturizers no longer did enough and their heavier versions made my face break out. You only have to use a tiny bit of this for your whole face. maybe a dime sized dollop. I use cotton swabs to dip in to get what I need that way I'm not putting my fingers into it.

I have normal skin and apply this product after using a pure, all natual cleanser like Burt's Bees body wash or Dr. Bronner's soap and find that it moisturizes great and absorbs quickly without being heavy and greasy. It has barely any scent which is nice. The only negative - no spf!

I bought this because it was cruelty-free, all natural, and affordable. When I first applied it, it seemed a little thick and felt almost waxy, but it wasn't terrible. After a couple of minutes, though, my face started to burn and turn red. I have never had a reaction like this before. It was awful! I rinsed it off and the redness went away after an hour or two, but I definitely didn't want to put this product near my face again. I am now using it as a foot cream, and it is fine for that purpose, since the skin on my feet is a lot thicker and less sensitive.

I went back to Clinique, which is a lot more expensive but is cruelty free, absorbs better, and doesn't cause irritation.

When I first purchased this moisturizer I was really excited to use it, seeing that is is so natural. However, immediately after applying it my face starting intensely burning. By the time I got to my bathroom sink to wash it off my ENTIRE face was bright red and blotchy. I will definitely not be using this product again...

I purchased this product in an attempt to get an organic, affordable moisturizer. I tried this for the first time last night. Within minutes,my skin started to burn and my face was bright red. I couldn't believe an organic product would cause such irritation and pain. I then washed my face and applied my my Acne. org moisturizer, which I'll continue to use. My face returned to normal overnight, thank goodness. Glad I didn't try this in the morning, on a work day. I've never had a bad reaction to anything before.

i bought this product while trying to find something to replace a more expensive moisturizer i had previously sworn by but that was no longer doing the trick. i checked out the reviews here on drugstore.com and took a chance! luckily, i love this product!!! it works very well with my skin (which is very dry in the winter, slightly oily in the summer, and combination over all) as a daily moisturizer. i use it as a night cream as well, but i apply it more liberally on my face, neck, shoulders/upper chest area.

the product absorbs quickly, but keeps my skin moisturized all day. it works well as a moisturizer under makeup because of its quick absorption time. my only *small* gripe with it is that on some applications, i have noticed a flaky residue that i have to brush off (kind of like the dried lotion effect on bottle tops). also, the first few times i used it, it stung a tiny bit. i chalked it up to my having exfoliated those days and didn't notice anything more than a tingle in subsequent applications.

overall, i'm really happy with the desert essence daily moisturizer. it's a great product for an amazing price that moisturizes and leaves my skin soft without all the grease.

Glad it was a free sample or I would have been upset. It SOUNDED like a good product and I was really surprised when I put just a little on my cheek to test it out --- I forgot about it and about five minutes later I felt a hot sensation on my skin. I thought I was having a hot flash at first but realized it was only the place I'd used the moisturizer. This surprised me because I don't have sensitive skin and have never noticed that kind of result before -- even with the alpha-hydroxy type of creams I've used in the past. No lasting problem but the area was visibly red for a couple of hours --- ???? Something's not right with this stuff . .. . .

This is a great product. Its all natural and fragrance free and is a large tub for a small price so that's stellar. I have oily skin and this is a great night moisturizer that isn't heavy and doesn't make my skin break out.
