The jojoba oil will 'trick...Read complete review I use this product, and ONLY this product, to clear up my clogged pores. My clogging was awful! I have very oily skin - thick oil, too. The jojoba oil will 'trick' your face into thinking it's producing enough oil (sebum), so your face will actually slow down its own production of sebum, so therefore, you have less oil to deal with. Even though jojoba oil is an oil, it's so close to our natural oils, that it does not add to the problem, but rather manipulates it. If you put a quarter size on your fingertips and lightly rub your face all over, for about 15 - 30 minutes (no kidding, but you need to work it in your pores after having had it warm up to your body's heat). Rub slowly, and in small circles, all over your face (not your eye area), your neck, behind your ears, behind your neck, and in all the crevices, even your lips. You will notice some gunk in your pores coming out. Just wipe this away, gently, with a non-soapy cloth. Do not wash your face afterwards. Leave the oil on, after having wiped off any excess with a non-soapy cloth. It needs more time to do the rest of its job. You many notice a few whiteheads, usually just within the first few days, as the oil is working its way down into the deeper recesses of your pores, but if you ROUTINELY put it on before you go to bed, this will end quickly, and then you may only see one or two spots a month. Don't scrub them, but they will be broken open, and raised enough to be wiped away after being steamed in your morning shower. Adding Lavendar & Tea Tree Essential Oil helps. It's all I use, and I don't need to wear base foundation anymore. I will wear minerals, but just a light dusting of powder. Run some oil (dime size) through your hair before bed. Won't grease up your pillow, and it washes out so easily. Concentrating on your ends. Doesn't have a scent or it's so light a scent it doesn't clash with other scented products I wear. Leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. Not oily or greasy feeling at all. I use it on my hair whether I'm going natural curly or blow drying it straight.

The jojoba oil, though...I can just rub it onto my skin, it soaks right in, and there's NO irritation, whatsoever! The only downfall is that it doesn't smell great at first, but the smell isn't strong and it doesn't linger. Comments about Desert Essence Organic Jojoba Oil, 4 fl oz: I use JoJoba Oil for many many things - my hair & in my hair conditioners & leave-in conditioners; my skin right after my shower before I dry off; my face in the evening for my dry skin in the winter; to clean my makeup brushes I use for cream products before I clean the brushes with a regular cleanser.

Best Uses Comments about Desert Essence Organic Jojoba Oil, 4 fl oz: I intended to use the jojoba oil on my scalp because it gets dry and flaky during the winter months. Generally with oils I leave the products on for between 1-3 hours before shampooing them out. I had this on for about 2 hours and the smell was just not good. I don't know if I got a bad bottle, but it lingered for the entire time and I was so afraid of it that I shampooed twice to guarantee that it did not stay on my hair. I wish I could get past the smell because I've read great things about it but I'd much rather have a dry scalp then walk around smelling like rotten oil.

I've tried olive oil but it's waaaay too thick and hard to wash out. This oil is perfect, washes out nicely and leaves my hair super soft and not dry. Comments about Desert Essence Organic Jojoba Oil, 4 fl oz: I use this on my skin -- I live in hot, humid southern Florida and lotions just get slimy on my skin. This soaks in and isn't noticeable except that my skin isn't flaky and dry like it is when I don't use anything. The only reason I couldn't give it a 5-star rating is that it smells kind of bad when you first put it on -- but after it dries, the smell is completely gone. I'm going to put some drops of lavender essential oil in to see if that helps. I also run my hands through my hair to use up whatever is left on my hands and it adds shine there too. GREAT PRODUCT! Comments about Desert Essence Organic Jojoba Oil, 4 fl oz: I tried Jojoba Oil with the Oil Cleansing Method (google it if you are unfamiliar), and after initial purging of my skin, it became super clear and "glowy." Hyperpigmentation from old acne scars was decreased, and the overall moisture level was improved.This oil has so many great uses, and the bottle lasts a long time because you only need a small amount! I use Jojoba Oil nightly underneath my nighttime facial moisturizer (Cerave PM). I also use this as an eye makeup remover because it is so gentle and effective. When my hair is dry, I rub some oil into the ends overnight and shampoo it out in the morning. As others have mentioned, this is also great for a dry, flaky scalp. Just massage it into the scalp, and then shampoo out! I have not noticed that it significantly improves eczema when rubbed into my hands, but it does add nice moisture. I often add a couple of drops of the oil to my hand cream at night before putting on cotton gloves.
