I used to use this shampoo and liked it until I bought a second bottle. Although it smelled the same it dried out my hair and left it very dull. I contacted the manufacturer and they did indeed reformulate the shampoo, apparently they also did with other shampoos in the line based on reviews I've read.

Too bad they just didn't leave it alone, I won't be buying it again.

It's so hard to find a product that doesn't contain harmful ingredients but also does what you want it too! This gives my hair body, is reasonably priced at Drugstore.com, lathers great (some don't) and smells wonderful! Love the conditioner too. Got the DE Lemon shampoo & conditioner for oily hair, and it's wonderful for my young daughter. Really makes her happy and the safe ingredients make me happy!

this costs $7 almost $8 for an 8oz. tube of shampoo?yeah it maybe organic and free from chemicals that can harm you....but id rather buy other ones

i liked it until it started to make the tips of my hair brake really bad so i read the back of the bottle and saw that there was SCS its the same as SLS and LS so im switching back to my old shampoo doesn't lather as well bc it doesn't have the harsh soaps in it its Nature's Gate Hemp Nourishing Shampoo it works good but i really wonted an organic shampoo but i gess im going to have to keep looking !

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and spend about 12 a day in the sun. This shampoo is a welcome relief at the end of the day; it smells great (earthy, aged wine smell, slightly sweet) and lathers easily in the very hard water out here. I use it with its conditioner and my thick, coarse, curly hair (about mid-back length) is left smelling great, silky, and un-frizzy. I literally only use a dime size drop of Aragon oil after showering and my curls are defined with no frizziness.

I don't know what I thought Italian Red Grape would smell like but it's certainly not my favorite scent. I can't help but thinking I am washing my hair with grape medicine. The actual shampoo is okay but I'm not a fan of the smell.

I have looked high and low for shampoo and conditioner that doesn't irritate my sensitive scalp, yet makes my hair look good. This product, along with the conditioner, works VERY well....and smells awesome too!

I really wanted to like this product. Unfortunately, as an aromatherapist, I'm puzzled by the company's claims. the "proprietary essential oil blend" listed in their ingredients smells A LOT like a fragrance oil, not essential oil. This product smells like grape bubble gum. Never have I been exposed to an essential oil or blend of oils that smell like this or have a lingering smell... EOs do not do that!

I have thick naturally wavy hair that is about one foot long. This shampoo AND it's complementing conditioner washed my hair luxuriously and with PLEASURE.

There are several things that I look for in a shampoo/conditioner.

ONE: First impact is the scent. I am chemically sensitive, so I HATE artificially smelling products. Too sweet and I get a headache. The wine smell of this product is pleasing. It is like the organic smell of an oak wine barrel that has been aged over many years with a fine Cabernat Sauvignon. It's earthy and not overwhelming and DOES NOT stay with your dry hair. IMO, it's more earthy than sweet.

OTHER POINTS: Lathering - and does not immediately dry out my hair during the wash. Some shampoos dry out TOO MUCH and then you condition. This shampoo, has the perfect amount of wash to dry out.

When I use both the Shampoo and Conditioner, my hair retains it's THICKNESS, WAVINESS and my frizzies are controlled. Some shampoos can weigh down my thick hair in it's effort to condition. Not so here.

I am now a repeat buyer of this product.
