I have average-textured, thin, slightly wavy hair with a very oily scalp. This cleans my hair so thoroughly that it feels a bit dry without conditioner! The stripped feeling is probably due in part to my area's hard water, but still... It does a good job of keeping the greasies away. With most shampoos, I am oily by the end of the day. With this one, I can actually wash every other day. The smell is lovely, green and lemony. [...], I tried Australian Organics for oily hair first and was disappointed. In combination with the conditioner, Desert Essence is my favorite shampoo.

this shampoo smelled nice and cleaned well, but....i thought it was too thick to be in a squeeze tube. i ended up throwing half of it away because i got fustrated trying to squeeze it out especially with wet hands. would not buy again unless packaging was changed.

Comments about Desert Essence Shampoo for Oily Hair, Lemon Tea Tree, 8 fl oz:

I've been using this shampoo for about 2 weeks now and I noticed an increase in itchy scalp and flakes in the beginning. This has slowly subsided. It may have build up that was being eliminated.
It is also leaves my hair a little dryer than Im used to. I have started using a conditioner with it as of this week and results are much better.

Comments about Desert Essence Shampoo for Oily Hair, Lemon Tea Tree, 8 fl oz:

The only positive thing I can say about this shampoo is that it smells nice. I used it for a week and it left my hair flat, dull, and slightly greasy. The last time I used it I looked in the mirror and realized that my hair didn't look or feel clean. My hair had a weird film like feel to it (I rinsed the shampoo out very thoroughly) and while my scalp was oily, my ends were dry. I don't know how it has gotten so many positive reviews.

The tube is a pain. The reviews are great but I didn't like the shampoo or the conditioner.
Its smell is ok. I didn't think it helped my oily hair. & the citrus broke my skin out. Tossed in the trash.
