I was looking for a good product with tea tree oil. From my very first use, though, I was disappointed with this. The smell was highly off-putting. It was bad enough while I was actually washing my face with this, but then the smell lingered on my skin... bleh. I was willing to put up with that, though, if it would effectively clear up my complexion. However, repeated use led to skin so dry and irritated it felt like a chemical burn. Mind you, I don't have sensitive skin or any allergies, and my face is as oily as you can get. I've never had this kind of reaction to a skin product. I'm thinking waaaay too much tea tree oil? In any event, I couldn't get rid of this stuff fast enough.

I used this to wash my face on a daily basis. I would not recommend it for acne prone skin. However my boyfriend had a fungal infection on his torso and this cleared it up. So it does have some good uses and would probably be a great facial cleanser if my skin wasn't so oily. The product is really watery but does make a good lather.

I've used countless expensive cleansers over many many years, and yet pores were never clean and pimples were a problem--I simply wasn't getting my skin clean enough. My skin can dry easily so I was nervous that this could be drying but it's not at all! It cleans thoroughly and my blackheads and breakouts are gone. I will say I am militant about my skincare, so I wash every morning and every evening, and in spite of that, no drying, yet smooth clear skin. I started using it in the shower on my chest which can also be prone to light breakouts and again, all cleared up. I've also referred this to several of my friends and my teenage daughter, and they all feel the same as I do. I use this in combination with my Somme line up (minus their cleanser). I will say it not only saves me $$ but my skin has never looked better. I highly recommend!

I wasn't a fan of this product. It made me break out. At first I wasn't sure if this product was to blame, but as soon as I started using another facial cleanser my skin finally cleared up.

I've used many creams & lotions prescribed by Dermatologists that didn't work well & left my skin oily. My rash seemed to never go away unless I used this cortisone cream every day. I tried Desert Essence Face Cleanser w/Tea Tree Oil & facial moisturizer (and toner) I was amazed. After a week my rash (eczema) and fungus disappeared (use twice a day). This is the most amazing cleanser and best results I've had in YEARS! I am purchasing some for my daughter. I recommend this product to anyone if you have problem skin. You won't regret it.

I have combination skin, and my T zone is really oily every morning after a night of sleep. This facial cleanser really helps get rid of the oily feeling and gives you a fresh feel on your skin in the morning. The thing I like about it is that after you wash your face with it, your oily zone feels just right and it's not going to be overly oily after a few mins like other cleansers. The smell is indeed strong, but after getting used to it, it's no big deal. However, if it gets into your eyes,...it's really irritating... On the acne side, it doesn't help much for me, but I still recommend this cleanser for the natural and clean effect.

Has a rather strong smell but it seems to really clean. I like the fact that it's natural and has tea tree oil in it, a good antiseptic. I've only used it a short while but hope it helps my bad skin.

I have purchased this a few times and had good results, then i switched to burt's bees and asked myself why. After months of using something else, i finally got another bottle of this stuff and my skin has improved already! I know now, when i find something that works, stick to it! I have oily skin and this makes my face feel really clean. It does irritate the skin and leave it red sometimes, but that only happens when i accidentally use too much. Only a few drops is needed and washing your face for a minute does help, instructions are there for a reason! i personally like the smell of tea tree, it has a clean, herb like smell. I've also tried the soap bar version and it caused me to break out and it was terrible. I'm sticking to this product and plan on buying the 32oz when i run out, because i will continue using this product as long as it is being manufactured!
