I have sensitive skin that breaks out every so often. After using traditional acne cleansers with salicylic acid/benzoyl peroxide for the past decade, I wanted to try a natural product. It's slightly drying but has kept my skin very clear, actually clearing up a blemish I had at the start of use. The texture of my skin has become smoother as well. Great price, great product!

Rated 1 by Skin deep database, reflecting it's ingredients are non-toxic overall. It leaves a clean feel that is not drying. I have normal skin that is not acne prone. It smells like wood chips. I would continue to use it.

I have tried many cleansers but this one tops all of them! Is gentle enough while deep cleansing!My skin is oily/combo so I do not know if this will work on dry or sensitive skin or even in severe acne skin. As for skin it has worked pretty well with no reaction from it and I have used it for almost a year.

Works well with my combination skin, liked it so much I bought two of the big bottle refills when I ran out of the 8 oz. I like that this cleanser does lather and skin feels nice and clean afterwards. The formula can get sticky and build up around the pump over time, when I ordered the refills I started using a little bottle with a top like a sports water bottle which is easier; the liquid can be a little thin so careful pouring into your hand.

At 36, I'm experiencing acne for the first time in my life. I was looking for a gentle, yet effective (antibacterial?) product. Tea tree oil is know to be effective on acne and castille soap is extremely gentle. I've used this product in the past and it is wonderful. With winter is coming, I'm not sure if it will be over-drying...though my skin has gotten increasingly oily, so it may not be an issue for me.

This face wash helps the gently clean oily skin without the over-drying and irritation that most face washes cause. I am acne prone but I try to avoid using products with salicylic acid on my face. This product is by far the most effective natural face wash I've used.

I was looking for a good product with tea tree oil. From my very first use, though, I was disappointed with this. The smell was highly off-putting. It was bad enough while I was actually washing my face with this, but then the smell lingered on my skin... bleh. I was willing to put up with that, though, if it would effectively clear up my complexion. However, repeated use led to skin so dry and irritated it felt like a chemical burn. Mind you, I don't have sensitive skin or any allergies, and my face is as oily as you can get. I've never had this kind of reaction to a skin product. I'm thinking waaaay too much tea tree oil? In any event, I couldn't get rid of this stuff fast enough.

I used this to wash my face on a daily basis. I would not recommend it for acne prone skin. However my boyfriend had a fungal infection on his torso and this cleared it up. So it does have some good uses and would probably be a great facial cleanser if my skin wasn't so oily. The product is really watery but does make a good lather.

I've used countless expensive cleansers over many many years, and yet pores were never clean and pimples were a problem--I simply wasn't getting my skin clean enough. My skin can dry easily so I was nervous that this could be drying but it's not at all! It cleans thoroughly and my blackheads and breakouts are gone. I will say I am militant about my skincare, so I wash every morning and every evening, and in spite of that, no drying, yet smooth clear skin. I started using it in the shower on my chest which can also be prone to light breakouts and again, all cleared up. I've also referred this to several of my friends and my teenage daughter, and they all feel the same as I do. I use this in combination with my Somme line up (minus their cleanser). I will say it not only saves me $$ but my skin has never looked better. I highly recommend!
