I don't really have a place for this anymore in my arsenal of baby products. For the changing table, the Canus goat's milk diaper cream in a jar is far more effective with 40% zinc oxide, and for on the go in the diaper bag, the Lanisoh diaper rash cream is smoother to apply and doesn't have that strong cloying artificial scent.

I am a first-time mom and recieved this along with a gift set of other baby bath time goodies. I used it for several days on my newborn daughter's diaper rash and didn't notice any change at all in the redness on her bottom. When I asked a nurse about it, she pointed out that if you look at the ingredients on the back, Desitin only contains 13% Zinc Oxide. Then she showed me the ingredients on the back of the [...]generic, Equate, that there was 40% Zinc Oxide. She said that it was much more effective and that was what they used in the nursery at the hospital. She gave me a tube to take home and I noticed a major change in the redness after the first use! After a couple more uses, no more diaper rash! I would definately reccommend the generic version rather than the name brand since it's much more effective. Plus, it's cheaper, can't beat that right?

I've used Buttpaste before and it worked then all of a sudden my daughter got a pretty bad diaper rash and Buttpaste didn't help. Not to mention Buttpaste was so hard to clean off. Then I gave Destin a try since I've had it sitting around since my daughter was born and oh MY this is the best. It cleared the diaper rash in less than a day and it smells GREAT, unlike Buttpaste. Now I use it after almost every diaper change and am so pleased with the results!
