Very chalky taste, does not dissolve fast, really bad texture that would be explainable if calcium was added but no extra nutritional value has been added. Threw them away - tabs should not be so difficult to dissolve when you need them to work right away.

When my blood sugars are low (an insulin reaction) I take four of these and wait ten minutes. I then test again. These are very reliable in raising my blood sugars and help keep me from over treating in these events.

My husband used to be frustrated because when his numbers would go low, he would have to eat something and this caused him to gain weight. Now if he accidentally goes low, he can easily take a couple of these and he's fine until his next meal or scheduled snack. He prefers this brand and is happy to be able to refill the small-size containers with tablets from the jar so he can easily carry the tablets around with him.

I think this is a wonderful product. I keep them by the bed all the time and keep them in my purse for quick emergencies. They dissolve quickly and work fast. They also taste great!
