I really didn't want to stop using conditioner, because I thought my hair would fry, but I sucked it up and tried it anyways. With daily use, my hair was kinda dry and felt different...but back-acne cleared up in the end, and I probably spend less now on hair-care than I used to because I use less product and wash my hair every other day instead of daily, to avoid over-drying. I recommend you stick with it, and if you experience drying, just try washing your hair a bit less often. Now that I've been using it for a couple of years, and my hair is used to the radical change (from daily washing with conditioner), it works like a charm - I have hair down to the middle of my back and it is extremely healthy, even without using conditioner or ANY other products, although it probably helps that I only comb out my hair once every two days, right after I wash it (I recommend this tip to you if you have ANY kind of hair; I had no IDEA how much it helps), and never blow-dry or straighten. Another cool tip: I like to put a bit of essential oil into the shampoo to give my hair a scent of my own choosing (lavender, usually - good for hair and the soul. :) ) VS Most Liked Negative Review Very, very , very drying I bought this on the advice of my dermatologist. I have tried watering it down to nothing but it does not matter.I have added glycerin and that helped a little. It is the most damaging drying shampoo I have ever used. My dermatologist recommended Free & Clear products, which totally dried my hair out. Encouraged by the positive reviews, I gave DHS a try. The only advantage over F&C is that it produces some lather. Otherwise, it leaves my hair tangled, brittle, utterly lacking in volume & shine, and full of static. And I've only been using it every other day--not daily, as the label suggests. Another disaster.

The 8-oz. size tucks neatly in the corner of my suitcase. I can't trust the shampoos provided by the hotels. I also use it before my hair color. I use a semi-permanent hair color. My hair has to be squeaky clean before using the color.

My scalp was completely white from dry, flaky skin. So embarrassing, frustrating and depressing. I ordered this shampoo on a whim. Boy! Am I glad I did. My scalp is 1000% better. No adverse reactions at all. I use it every other day. Gets my hair clean and my scalp doesn't sting when I wash it anymore. So, YAY for this shampoo! The only reason I didn't give it five stars, is because I never rate anything as "perfect".

I shampoo every day and absolutely love it. I am very sensitive to fragrance and this product truly has no smell at all. It lathers well and leaves the hair feeling clean and conditioned. For a while Drugstore.com quit carrying this shampoo and I didn't know what I was going to do since it is hard to find. Thankfully, Drugstore.com started carrying it again. You can bet I have stocked up on it!

I have itchy/flaky scalp that is also prone to hair loss. Using natural products help ease these scalp conditions but purely natural shampoos they don't lather well. this one does, however, My scalp health did not improve at all using this product.It actually got worse.

Cons Best Uses Comments about DHS Clear Shampoo for Daily Cleaning of Hair & Scalp, Fragrance Free: I have not used this shampoo for a long time as I have my hair done, but because I bought it before and recently repurchased it is because of itchy scalp of which happens just occasionally. I don't know what the itching is but after using this shampoo the itching goes away. After one or two times of use the itching is gone. It lathers extremely well and has a nice scent. I think it is a great shampoo.
