Granted I do use organic tea tree oil based soaps after I shave (dramatically cuts down on the red bumps and whatnot) but regularly I use dial. Recently my body chemistry has changed (like it does every 7 years or so for most people) and I was using the regular orange dial soap but it made my skin too dry. I switched to this one and it was perfect. I have oily, sensitive acne prone skin and this works wonders. Gives me the cleanliness I desire and it keeps the oil and acne at bay. My skin (i.e. back and chest) have cleared up and I just feel clean. To me, the Dial line is where it's at. We like the antibacterial formula and lack of overpowering perfume. However, we do not like the change in formulation a few years ago to make it dissolve faster so that (I guess) it would be better with hard water. Due to that change, the soap disappears much too fast. Also, the weight of the bar was reduced in June/July 2008 from 4.5 oz to 4.0 oz, the latter of which is the current weight. Ten years ago, the bath bar weighed 5.0 oz. What is Dial trying to prove by continually shaving the weight of its bath bar? Dial should just raise the price! Everyone knows that the last half ounce of soap is basically useless and usually breaks in half. So, the consumer benefits from the largest possible size for the bar. Five oz was perfect -- long lasting and the right size for an adult hand. Thus, there is absolutely no good reason from the consumers' point of view to have a 4.0-oz bath bar. Clearly, Dial Corp. does not have its customers' interest in mind by reducing the weight of the bar from 5.0 to 4.5 to 4.0 ounces over time. Quelle domage!
