I have been using Safeguard bar soap for years, as I never particularly cared for the scent of Dial soap. But I bought this when Safeguard wasn't available recently, as I wanted something similarly antibacterial. While the scent of Dial is still not as nice to me as Safeguard's, this does lather far better. However, that may be because so much of the Dial soap softens in the soapdish & therefore ends up on my bath puff in a greater quantity, which my Safeguard has never done. I'm going through a bar twice as fast with this, it seems. But for the superior lather, same antibacterial qualities & a scent that's surprisingly grown on me, I can't complain.
My dermatologist recommended this soap to me for in shower use. I can't believe how well it has worked for my sensitive dry skin. It smells wonderful and rinses completely off, which helps prevent blemishes. I can even use it on my face. The only qualm I have is it doesn't lather very well in hard water (but I like lots of lather). The price is great too. Dove is also a good choice for this type of skin. This product even works on my 3 year old's skin.
This is the best soap in my opinion. I used to have breakouts on my back and I realized that all those moisturizing body washes and soaps leave a residue and that was the cause for my breakouts. This soap will rinse completely off. My skin is clear and I recommend this soap to everybody who has problems with body blemishes.
