I was horrified the first time I used this dispenser. I lift weights daily and could not push the the dispenser down. My mother is also horrified and we talk about it all the time. Why would dial make such an obnoxious dispenser? My mother, who has arthritis, has to smash the dispenser into the sink to make it work. That is the solution. I am so frustrated with this dispenser so what I did was buy another brand foamy soap dispenser and it works wonderful. I am so happy to find that others are having the same problem. It is so annoying that Dial would make a dispenser that requires SMASHING the top into a hard surface. How absurd!

I love the antibacterial benefis of this product as I have problems with the skin on my hands that causes cracked skin. I feel safer from infection using this. It isn't messy like liquid soaps. Doesn't leave skin feeling dry or tight. Geat because it's virtually odorless.
I may try the one with ltion added next time.

I wouldn't want a huge bottle sitting out but ish it was a bit larger.

Nice, fresh smell, without smelling like flowers or fruits. No residue, either, which is other main thing that I look for in a soap. We have started using this in every bathroom (4 total) and the kitchen, because I like it so much. The only complaint is that the pump sticks a little, and because so much pressure is required when this happens, the foam shoots across the sink... We are used to this now, though, and we always block the entire pump with our hand.

I agree with the other reviewer's description of how difficult this pump is to push down. My very independent young kids need me to pump the soap for them every time they wash their hands. The soap is fine, nothing special, but the dispenser is useless and frustrating. I bought a package of four bottles, and all the pumps have had the same problem.

First off, I definitely prefer foaming hand cleaners over standard liquid soap because you don't end up wasting so much. I'm sure that over half of the standard liquid soap washes down the drain unused.

As far as this Dial antibacterial handwash goes, frankly this product has become one of my greatest sources of frustration in recent weeks. The soap itself isn't bad. I like that you can use it without getting your hands wet initially and it smells ok, but like many antibacterial soaps it does dry my skin out a bit.

But here's the thing... For some unknown reason the manufacturer decided to make a dispenser that's borderline impossible to use. I don't know if it is some child safety lid that keeps kids from gargling with it or what, but have fun trying to push the pump down. There is one sweet spot where planets align and allow you to compress the pump but there's a catch. Did you notice on the picture how the dispenser nozzle is pointed slightly upward? Well if you combine that angle with tremendous amount of force you've just exerted downward you'll see a jet-like propulsion of smelly white foam either shoot over your outstretched hand and across the room (literally) or right into your midsection on to your freshly pressed shirt. I like clean hands as much as the next guy, but this isn't worth the grief.

I'll be looking for another brand/type of foaming handwash.

I purchased this antibacterial cleaner because it was paraben-free. I like how this foam cleans and does not dry out my hands.

I have used many different hand soaps and I think this one is the best. It has a nice smell.

I love pre-foaming soaps; they rinse off so much more easily than regular gel soaps. Also, my nieces love the idea of soap that comes out as foam and anything that gets kids to wash their hands more often is a GOOD thing! I agree that anti-bacterial everything may eventually backfire, so I keep glycerin-based soap in the kitchen soap dispenser but the bathroom soap will ALWAYS be Dial! :)

Very cool delivery system - the liquid turns to foam as it hits the air. The packaging is simple and elegant. Unfortunately, the smell is too floral and feminine for me - it kinda reminds of cheap women's perfume.

I love this soap, it cleans so well and it smells so good. I buy at least four big containers of it every time I go to the store. It takes makeup off very easy and also dirt, vegetable oil, butter -- anything you happen to get on the floor, hands, or even clothes if stained. I really hope they keep selling this product.
