Dickinson's Witch Hazel - Daily Facial Toner

 – Feel the natural, refreshing benefits of Dickinson's witch hazel - Daily Facial Toner when used as part of a daily skin care regimen. The 100% natural formula helps to firm and tone the skin, but without disturbing its natural moisture balance; after cleansing the face, apply the witch hazel toner with a cotton ball or pad using a gentle massaging motion. The natural astringent reaction helps promote a clear complexion, while it cools and refreshes without drying the skin. Made with pure distilled witch hazel extract and botanically derived alcohol, this toner is effective, but still gentle enough for daily use. It is dermatologist tested and recommended. The formula is vegan, too; only plant ingredients are used and the formula is not tested on animals.

The Gift of Witch Hazel

There really isn't anything witchy about witch hazel. It is a shrub, Hamamelis virginiana that grows in the forests of the Eastern and Midwestern United States, with elm-like leaves and yellow flowers that appear in the fall and winter. Native Americans used the leaves in poultices to help cleanse and heal the skin, uses that they taught to early English settlers (who used the Old English word wych, meaning "pliant" to describe the flexible branches of this hazel plant). In addition to its astringent quality - the extract helps firm the skin - recent scientific studies have also indicated that the natural compounds derived from tannins in witch hazel have antioxidant and antiaging properties.

Dickinson's Commitment to Quality

Beginning in the 19th century, two branches of the Dickinson family made and marketed witch hazel extract for medical and skin care use. Now united in one firm, Dickinson's continues the tradition of producing the highest quality witch hazel products. Only the finest ingredients and manufacturing processes are used, to ensure that their witch hazel extract continues to provide the best benefits.
