I used this product for 3 1/2 months before realizing that one of its ingredients, Konjac Glucomannan, was making me ill. Wasted many, many hours of my life and spent thousands of dollars on medical bills trying to determine what was causing the illness. Stopped taking the product and the symptoms disappeared.

"Glucomannan. Made from the root of Amorphophallus Konjac, glucomannan is said to contribute to weight loss by delaying the absorption of glucose from the intestines. Small limited studies have shown glucomannan to be effective in decreasing body weight. This effect is believed to be due to a "feeling of fullness" which may be due to the swelling of the glucomannan in the gut once it has been exposed to liquids. However, esophageal obstruction has been reported in several people taking glucomannan. Glucomannan and glucomannan-containing products have been banned in several countries due to the high incidence of gastrointestinal obstruction. Glucomannan should not be used by people with a previous history of gastrointestinal obstruction, and caution should be used in diabetics."

I've suffered from constipation for years and just can't maintain regularity without lots of additional fiber. Since I started taking this product on a daily basis, I am able to stay regular just by eating a balanced diet. I highly recommend it.

I suffer from fibromyalgia and, therefore, also suffer from the side effects of chronic use of pain medications. I tried this product after trying a probiotic from the same company. The probiotic really didn't work, but this stuff did! I take one capsule twice daily and it has definitely consistently worked. Without this product, I faced having to reduce the dose of my pain medication (tramadol) to a less effective dose. Doing that would have greatly impacted my quality of life. With this product I no longer have to consider that option.

This product did not work for me...however, I have severe IBSC so would not judge by my experience. It did not relieve my constipation, however would not reccomend against it...just didn't work for me.

this is truely a perfect product. does not give harsh feelings like laxatives. it is quick, effective and to the point. i will never use anything else for this purpose. i use it daily

It says it works within 2-4 days, but it took more like 10 for it to have full effectiveness for me. Part of my problem is I take prescription diuretics, so that causes trouble on top of just being a normally constipated person. Anyway, it does seem to be helping with regularity and with softening of the stool, and it's much easier and less expensive than having to eat Activia every day!
Adults: Take one capsule daily with a full glass of liquid (8 oz of more) Some individuals may require 2 capsules daily. Should be taken daily to maintain results.
Digestive Advantage® does not provide immediate relief. It takes 2-4 days to balance your digestive system.
