This is a great product for helping to control IBS! I suffer greatly for it and actually use 3 OTC products and 1 herbal remedy for the problem. When I first tried Digestive Advantage, it took about 2 weeks before I started to notice a difference. It does help and it does work! If I should happen to run out before being able to purchase more (it's not cheap locally in the stores), the IBS gets worse. However, as soon as I resume my schedule, it only takes a couple days to get things working smoothly again. Per the manufacturer, one can only take 2 capsules per day. I do wish they made a stronger version or would find that it is safe to take more than 2 a day. I have an ongoing issue with IBS and have been using this product for almost 2 years now. After about 18 months at the 1 a day, I had to go up to the 2 a day. I don't think I would use this product if I only had occasional bouts and for shorter periods of time, so as not to build up a tolerance to the medication. I don't know how good or bad it is to take on a long term basis, although, my primary physician does not seem to have any issues with it, or at least she hasn't voiced any. The product does work though. One of the few that actually does what it says it does. Others have touted no bloating, no pain, no cramps, etc., etc., and have not worked and have caused everything they have touted to not cause. Digestive Advantage for IBS did not have any of those effects on me at all and I am a very sensitive person when it comes to medications and reactions. If it grows on god's green earth, I'm pretty much allergic to it. I have never had any reactions with Digestive Advantage. Personally, I think it's more gentle on the system than products such as Correctol, amd others that claim to be gentle on the stomach and bowel system, however, for me they were not. Digestive Advantage for IBS is. I've had great experience in using this product and am not sure what I would do without it since using it for so long now.

This is not a bad product, but in my opinion, the digestive advantage IBS chewable tablets are better. I bought these because they are so much cheaper than the others, but they are just not as effective. Glad I only bought one box, because after this, I'm going back to the chewables.
I suffered from IBS for years. Trying everything just to be normal. Nothing worked! It was so hard to go out because I would end up in the bathroom half way through the night in pain. It was hard to do anything without easy access to a bathroom! The embarrasment and discomfort was too much. I finally found this product and gave it a shot. Per directions, it takes seven doses before it's fully active. After the first week, my world was different. My bloating was gone, I could go out without worry, and I could even eat onions (with an extra dose taken right before)! I have been taking this product every morning for the last 8 years and it has changed my life! In stressful situations, I can take a second dose and any issues are alleviated immediatley!
I have abnormal pains ofet as 1 a week. I call them episodes. I will have such bad diarreah pains, but will go into shock/convultions from abdominall pain. Unsure If I will bw puking before a bowel movement.Body breaks down, I go weak Limbs tense up fuzzy blurry and soak myself from sweat. Finally after a bowel movement Im better, for a little while then it might happen again. I had all kinds of dr visits and none came up with anything. This worked for me I have not had but 1 episode since I started taking 2 everymorning with bfast in 6months. I had the 1 when I ran out of the box of pills. Be sure to stock up on these. I Just started taking live good bacterias to to replace this. So far so good.
Have IBS-D, and after 1 month I am amazingly better, and continuing so feel better each week. I definitely recommend this to anyone with IBS-D. At least give it a try. I was feeling desperate, and now feel like I can go out once in a while.
The name of the product (as shown on the box) changed from "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" to "Intensive Bowel Support." I'm not sure if the formula changed, but the product doesn't seem to work as well as it has in the past.
After being prescribed high blood pressure meds for the first time in my 61 years, I started to get IBS systems and diareah in the a.m. After a week of taking one capsule each day, everything and I mean everything is back to normal! I recommend you give this a try!
Adults: Take one capsule daily with water. Some adults may require two capsules for best digestive support. Capsules may be opened and contents sprinkled into food or drink.
Children: For children it is recommended that one capsule be opened and contents mixed into a cold drink, oatmeal, applesauce or other food. Consult your pediatrician for further information.
Take daily to maintain results. Symptoms will return if product is discontinued. Upon initial use, product takes 7 to 14 days to take effect. Some gas & bloating may occur during the first few days as your system adjusts
