I've discovered that vitamin D3 isn't completely useful without also taking vitamin K2, but that's easy enough to remedy. I've been taking D3 without K2 for about two weeks and haven't felt anything yet. No big deal. A lot of vitamins--even prescription meds--take a lot longer than that, so I'm still gonna take it.

I like this product because it is a small gelcap and easy to take. It does not have any cosmetic ingredients (like titanium dioxide), but only extra virgin olive oil and the D3 in a gelatin, glycerin and purified water capsule. The D3 is derived from a natural source, lanolin. D3 is an alternative for people who do not go out in the sun without sunscreen, or who live up north in the winter. Most people are deficient in D3. I recommend Vitamin K2 (the MK-7 version from a vegetable source) in order to give balance. These two are synergistic, and keep the other in optimal balance. This is a good product at a great price. I have tried others, but keep coming back to this one.

I didn't know until I received a bottle and read the label that the vitamin E in this product is from lanolin. With the gelatin capsule, this is definitely not suitable for vegetarians/vegans! Will not buy again or recommend.

Folks in the northern tier of the world, where sunlight is diminished in the winter, do not get enough D3 in their blood - unless you are a blubber eater you must supplement with D3. This is by far the absolute best value for your money!!! The closest Ive found at another store was 200 softgels for $12. Even if you get the smaller package of the Dr's Best Vit.D 5000iu(180 ct), from drugstore.com, you will still pay almost half that!

The pill is also VERY easy to take. It is not a "horse pill." Quite small in fact. It looks identical to another brand I bought before I found this one, so Im assuming the small, clear tan football shape is common for this suppliment.

I was also impressed to see that the "use by" date on the bottle is far enough out that I won't be taking "expired" medicine! I take 1 a day, so this is basically a year's supply for me.

I will DEFINTELY order this again! And I use this product as a reference when I tell people about this website!
