this lotion smells great, the problem is it doesn't last long. i am ashy again within the hour. i don't recommend it for really dry skin.

Best lotion I have ever used! Pesky dry elbow problem has disappeared. A little of this lotion goes a long way, and absorbs quickly. I think all of the Dove Creme Oil lotions have a nice scent.

I use Dove Cream Oil Intensive Body Lotion for extra dry skin 2 times a day on my feet and all over my body. This is the first product to "CURE MY POOR QUALITY SKIN". I have nice soft feet and no more dry spots on my elows and knees! I also use Dove Cream Oil body wash for extra dry skin. I can't thank you enough for making this product. For 58 years nothing really gave me lasting improvement, now I have Dove Cream Oil Intensive Body loition for Extra Dry Skin and I am soft as a baby without any greasy feel.

I am a person whose seeking my signature fragrance. I like a complete line with it. I thought that Dove would make that easier for me with pricing. I could get the deoderant, soap, lotion, and smell fresh and clean all day, but each smell was different. Nothing smelled like the soap. This lotion certainly didn't. One comment I read said it was too perfumey. I smelled no perfume at all. Though it moisturized well, I could've saved money on a cheaper brand that did the same thing. If you just want the name sitting on your dresser, and don't care about fragrance or price, this may be what you're looking for. I'm more practical than that.

I originally found out about this product because it was given out as a 1 ounce sample on a flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico to New York JFK in January. Genius marketing on the part of Dove - whoever thought to hand out a sample of lotion to a flight of sun-drenched dry-skinned passengers should be given a raise because I bet I was not the only one to go out and buy a full size when I got home. The lotion worked perfectly to calm and moisturize my VERY dry and itchy sun dried skin. And everyone else on the plane seemed to feel the same way. I bought a full size as soon as the sample size ran out, and I am still loving it - it goes on silky smooth, absorbs very quickly, and really helps combat winter dryness. The best moisturizer I've ever used, hands down - except for one thing - the smell. I agree with the other reviewers who have said the scent is way too strong. I wish they would make an unscented or fragrance free version. The scent is very perfume-y and will clash with any perfume or other fragrance you may be wearing. DOVE - please make an unscented version. Other than the scent, this lotion works great and I will buy it again and would recommend it to anyone who has dry winter skin.

The smell is so strong and lasts all day long. If you want to smell like the beauty counters of department stores this product is for you. If you do not enjoy that clingy flowery smell then look to some other product for your moisturizing needs. It does work really well, so if you can stand the smell then this is for you.

Well this lotion does as advertised, it works very well on dry skin. I just cannot rate it higher because it has an overwhelming scent. I often skip this one in favor of other lotion in my bathroom because I cannot stand the smell of this one. I wish Dove would come out with several different scents in this formula, because the lotion is great but the smell is bad.

This product seems to moisturize well enough, but I just can't get over the smell. It is way too overpowering and makes me smell as if I've spilled a bottle of (bad) perfume on myself. If you're bothered by overly scented lotions, skip this one.
