I have shoulder-length, fine hair (not too thin) that needs a little conditioning on the ends. My hair tends to be limp and lifeless no matter what or how many products I use (cheap or expensive). This conditioner was thick but rinsed easily. It was heavily scented but tended to fade after my hair was dried. It did leave my hair soft and silky, mostly because of the silicones, glycerin, mineral oils and petrolatum. I really couldn't see myself using this a lot since I feel that these ingredients would build up over time. I also would be very, very leery of this conditioner since I have experienced (twice, stupid me) conditioner-induced, severe acne. Not fun! Overall I'd say it's a good deep conditioner, would repurchase if I needed too and if acne wasn't a concern. Don't really know about the "repairing abilities" since the only things I know that repair hair are protein treatment and hair trimming. It has the same light, sweet fragrance and minimalist feel that all Dove products have, and it actually gave my hair a silky feel I wasn't getting with my Pantene conditioner, which had me putting gobs of leave-in post-shower. Comments about Dove Intense Damage Defense Daily Treatment Conditioner, 8 fl oz: I'm growing out my hair, and I remember that when it was long, I had split ends and damage like crazy (but didn't do much to protect it). So for growing my hair out, I planned on helping it stay healthy from the beginning. The Dove intensive damage products are great- the weightless moisture claim is true and my hair seems pretty healthy, nice and soft, too.

I've tried higher end products and none are like this not even close If this was $30 I would pay cause its well worth it!! For the last 3yrs Ive hair EXTREMLEY damaged hair(split ends) everytime I would get a trim, my ends would get worse and my hair stayed the same length for years until I tried this!!! my hair has grown 5inches since using this product less than a yr without trimming my hair!!AMAZING! **TIP BEST when add alittle as a leave in conditioner. AHH I can rave for hours abour this!! love it!

I wanted a conditioner that worked not matter how I was styling my hair. This product is great - really rich and nourishing, but not greasy or heavy. My hair is super soft, super shiny and feels really good. II just finished a long stint of trying to use only all natural conditioners, but just couldn't do it - they just didn't work as well as this!

In the end, its not thick enough to be a deep conditioner. I have thick, wavy/straight hair and I found it lacking. If you want a deep conditioner, use Panteen-pro V. It works much better.

My hair came out softer and shinier than before (which is saying something because I take VERY good care of my hair, so it's in pretty good shape already. The ladies at my salon know me as 'the girl with great hair'.) I don't use it every time I wash my hair, but on the occasions when my hair seems a little off, like after swimming and such. I used it last night when I showered after having been camping for a while and not having washed my hair for a while. Rather than leaving it on for the recommended one minute, I let it sit while I exfoliated my body, and when I rinsed it came out like magic. Other conditioners have a tendency to stick to my hair and take a little while to rinse out, so this was a nice change. All in all I love this product!

I've been using this conditioner for a few weeks now and am very happy with the results. Less frizz without weighing down my hair. This conditioner is perfect for daily use. It feels too heavy when first applied, but it does rinse clean. Overall I'm very happy with this product and will continue to use.

Comments about Dove Intense Damage Defense Daily Treatment Conditioner, 8 fl oz: I have wavy fine hair and the wrong conditioner can leave it limp and dirty looking, but this one works really well at smoothing out the frizz without weighing down my fine strands. It's not at all heavy like many deep conditioners so you can use it every day without worrying about buildup, and it smells good too. Was this review helpful?
