I have short fine hair and use a volume shampoo. This spray seems to weigh my hair down and make it somewhat limp and dry.
The previous formula was great! Should never have changed it.
Now I have to find something else, really annoying and frustrating.

I am also super disappointed. It's obvious they have changed the original formula in the past 6 mos. I originally borrowed this from a friend and have been buying it ever since. This most recent bottle has left my hair super, super greasy and doesn't even "hold" my hair at all (even "flexibly") such a let down. It's always nice when you find something that works; Dove please go back to original formula!

I bought this thinking it would be great since I have used dove products in the past and liked them. This is terrible hair-spray, it is a VERY fine mist which is ok but as the clouds of product make you cough and gag you realize you now smell like an old lady. The smell of this product reeks like terrible perfume. Not cool.

I used the old Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray for years and loved it! This, however, is horrible. It made my hair sticky and sapped all the shine from it. My hair felt incredibly dirty and dry and it smelled horrible. I can't believe they put this on the market! This is definitely the worst hairspray I've ever used.

smells way too strong, what's the point of wearing perfume if it's overpowered by something else. Leaves hair dry and tangled. Doesn't brush out easily. Whoever approved the change from the old formula should be fired and arrested.

I LOVED Dove's old hairspray. This new formula is by far one of the worst I've ever used. I tried for a few weeks to make it work by making daily chages to the rest of my hair routine. No matter what I did (what other products I used), my hair felt and looked like dry hay, like it had been permed, dyed and fried. It took about a week for it to get back to it's normal soft shiny feel.

Was very disappointed to see the original formula (blue can) unavailable. Hate the new product - very heavy, dried my hair out on first application, hair is frozen in place where old formula looked more natural. Shopping for different brand, so sorry Dove, i was a very loyal fan.

The new product doesn't do anything at all. I spray it on, and it is as if I do not have any hold. I reapply, and the same thing occurs.

Why did they replace the old formula that so many people liked???

I LOVE Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray ** in the (recently discontinued???) version in the blue and silver can. I have very FINE hair, and have been using it for YEARS. It is the ONLY hairspray that doesn't break or weigh down my hair, and I actually get compliments on how good I smell when I'm wearing it - even if I don't have on any perfume!

I HATE THIS NEW VERSION!!! It smells AWFUL, seems like they have changed the texture - it makes my hair harder when I use it, which means my fragile fine hair breaks easier. I'm SO, SO, SO disappointed. PLEASE DOVE, BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA. Those of us with fine hair DESPERATELY need it!
