I do not remember this soap being as moisturizing as it is now; did I get a good batch, or did they change the formula? Who knows. All I know is that this soap is one that lathers like no other and moisturizes very well....almond oil? The scent may be a little strong (esp for chemical/fragrance sensitive persons) at first, but becomes subtle after a short while. The price is definitely worth it. One note, the peppermint bar soap is NOT as moisturizing, but smells great and the liquid (peppermint) soap is drying and smells strong...so much so that it helps with my sinus problems when they occur. Dove makes me itchy...while Dr. Bronner's bar soaps make my skin very clean and very soft...and never itchy. My husband uses it and I sent some to a sister too...we especially love the Almond bar soap...but have tried the liquid Dr. Bronner's as well. It really cleans well and quickly and rinses clean and faster than any other soap I've ever used, including Ivory. - and it has a nice, very mild scent - this is the perfect soap! Dr. Bronner's works perfectly for face and body! Nice scents, too. I don't understand the complains about the soap being used up fast. You know any bar of soap has to dry out between uses, right? Don't let it sit in a puddle of water! I keep mine on a high shelf in the shower (so the water doesn't hit it) and it lasts at least a month. Pros

They are made by an old, very reliable, environmentally conscientious family company. Pros

At home, I use it mostly as a hand/face soap. (I use liquid Dr Brommer's in the shower for body and hair). For hair, the bar soap is quite handy because it lathers well, but because my hair is long and very thick, I find that it dries it out a bit. This can be remedied by using a very rich conditioner. They all seem to clean at least as well as regular soaps with more suspect ingredients. Not recommended if you are looking for a scented soap, the smells go away with rinsing.
