It is true that the product contains lemon juice (and therefore will sting cuts if you have any), and that you should dilute it in water before you use it. But the extra step is worth the effort-- I simply use an old empty shampoo bottle, pour a capful of the hair rinse in, and fill the bottle with water and shake it up. It only takes a minute or so, and you can prepare the solution the night before you shower. I am amazed how great my hair looks and smells now after shampooing with Dr. Bronner's Citrus soap and rinsing with the hair rinse. After using this product, my hair is healthier, shinier and softer than it has ever been. Gentle enough to use everyday and doesn't leave any buildup. Great with or without Dr. Bronner's hair cream (though I like the peppermint hair cream a lot too!). VS Most Liked Negative Review Meh. Conditioning is important to me, as it helps me detangle my medium-length hair and makes it more manageable throughout the day. Cons Best Uses Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: This makes my hair super soft and shiny and almost fluffy but in a good way. Soothing to my scalp, too, and feels like fights buildup of other products. I use it as conditioner or sometimes after another conditioner. It used to have a clumpy, globby consistency, but they changed the formula and now it's nice and smooth, even a bit runny. It's still brown but that doesn't bother me - I guess that's just the color of the shikai powder, which is the main ingredient. Some people have complained about the smell. I like it. It's just lemon juice (which can sting). I love that the ingredients are so simple and pure. I have a hard time finding perfume-free, non-lavender-scented products. (I have very thick, fine, wavy/curly long hair.)

Best Uses Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: I love, love, love using Dr. Bronners Castile soaps, so naturally I wanted to give this conditioning rinse a try. I wish I had saved my money. I followed the directions for this product exactly, mixing it with water, then pouring it onto my just washed hair. I rinsed it out as much as was possible, but even after drying my hair, it looked so wet and stringy and felt so gross. I ended up having to wash my hair three times just to get my hair back to normal. Best Uses Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: I mixed it before hand, 6 cap fulls in a large tresemme conditioner bottle. You pour it on your hair and then comb your fingers in your hair. I thought it worked well, and it smells good. Different but good. It took a few days for me to get used to it because it is so thin and watery. I don't have any residue in my hair. I will buy it again.

Best Uses Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: does not condition well at all. it's a pain to mix the product and therefore is a pain to use. I tried multiple ways of using it because I wanted to like it since I love all the other Dr. Bronner products I've tried, but this is just not something I will ever buy or use again. Best Uses Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: I really wish I liked this product better; after reading about the chemicals in commercial hair products, I wanted to switch to Dr. Bronner for everything. I have fine, normal hair, so don't have huge conditioning needs; but this product used as directed doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe I should try mixing it a better stronger? Hmm...

Best Uses Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: I've been trying to find a great more natural conditioner for my hair and I can honestly say that this is probably the worst one I've tried thus far. It left this horrible residue in my hair...wasn't greasy but it wasn't pleasant either. I decided the following day to not use as much as indicated on the bottle and I still got the same nasty results.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: I decided to give this product a couple weeks of usage before commenting. I wanted to give it a fair chance. Upon using it the first couple of times I didn't care for it for a couple reasons; 1) it looks like a brown sludge, 2) it can be difficult to mix. I am going to try a Tupperware-type gravy mixer so I can pre-mix a few uses so I don't have to mix it each time I wash and condition my hair. Aside from that, this product is one that has done the best for my hair. I have purchased many, many types of expensive products on the market (though they contained lots of chemical products) and this wins over them all. If you're in a hurry, this isn't for you. Unless you can have some of it pre-mixed ahead of time.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: Use it as a conditioner. Leaves hair soft and smooth. Nice smell. For me the conditioner makes my scalp itch. But may be fine for others.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz: I this because it was SLS free. I'm also sensitive to fragrance. The strong scent of lemons and oranges didn't make me sneeze! I would have preferred peppermint though. I haven't tried the peppermint creme styler. I just wanted a conditioner. I don't mind that you have to mix it with water. I filled an empty shampoo bottle, and am ready to go! The conditioner was solid in the bottle upon arrival. I figured it was due to the cold fall weather during shipping. It wasn't a problem. I mixed it with hot water and everything was fine. I apply it and then comb (distribute) it through my hair. This is a winner for me!
