I absolutely love this product and highly recommend it to anyone, but especially to those who have been looking for an all-natural, all-organic (and free trade) product that is as good to the environment as it is to your hair. It is true that the product contains lemon juice (and therefore will sting cuts if you have any), and that you should dilute it in water before you use it. But the extra step is worth the effort-- I simply use an old empty shampoo bottle, pour a capful of the hair rinse in, and fill the bottle with water and shake it up. It only takes a minute or so, and you can prepare the solution the night before you shower. I am amazed how great my hair looks and smells now after shampooing with Dr. Bronner's Citrus soap and rinsing with the hair rinse. After using this product, my hair is healthier, shinier and softer than it has ever been. Gentle enough to use everyday and doesn't leave any buildup. Great with or without Dr. Bronner's hair cream (though I like the peppermint hair cream a lot too!).

Conditioning is important to me, as it helps me detangle my medium-length hair and makes it more manageable throughout the day.

I have tried 2 capfuls in 12 ounces, 2 capfuls in 8 ounces, and 3 capfuls in 8 ounces. The last mix was the most conditioning, but 2 seems to work fine.

In my experience, this does not help with detangling at all. Also, the lemon really stings/burns any small abrasions you might have on your body. My hair smells like lemonaide up until it's fully dry.

Overall, it's a pain to pre-mix and the bottle seems to be going a lot more quickly than I would like. It also doesn't do what I need for it to do, so I won't buy again.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

I've been trying to find a great more natural conditioner for my hair and I can honestly say that this is probably the worst one I've tried thus far. It left this horrible residue in my hair...wasn't greasy but it wasn't pleasant either. I decided the following day to not use as much as indicated on the bottle and I still got the same nasty results.

Did I mention it burned the fire out of my scalp? It actually felt like someone set my hair on fire.

The smell...UGHHH..don't get me started on the smell. I'm really not sensitive to smell but this one really bothered me. It does have a citrus smell but there is another smell with it, which I have yet to identify.

I will not be using this product again, nor will I give it away to friends. I would throw it away but I'm afraid it would melt my garbage can. I really wish this would have worked for me because I have some of Dr. Bronner's 18-in-1 soaps and I think they are wonderful.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

I decided to give this product a couple weeks of usage before commenting. I wanted to give it a fair chance. Upon using it the first couple of times I didn't care for it for a couple reasons; 1) it looks like a brown sludge, 2) it can be difficult to mix. I am going to try a Tupperware-type gravy mixer so I can pre-mix a few uses so I don't have to mix it each time I wash and condition my hair. Aside from that, this product is one that has done the best for my hair. I have purchased many, many types of expensive products on the market (though they contained lots of chemical products) and this wins over them all. If you're in a hurry, this isn't for you. Unless you can have some of it pre-mixed ahead of time.

Use it as a conditioner. Leaves hair soft and smooth. Nice smell. For me the conditioner makes my scalp itch. But may be fine for others.
        Excellent natural ingredients.

I this because it was SLS free. I'm also sensitive to fragrance. The strong scent of lemons and oranges didn't make me sneeze! I would have preferred peppermint though. I haven't tried the peppermint creme styler. I just wanted a conditioner. I don't mind that you have to mix it with water. I filled an empty shampoo bottle, and am ready to go! The conditioner was solid in the bottle upon arrival. I figured it was due to the cold fall weather during shipping. It wasn't a problem. I mixed it with hot water and everything was fine. I apply it and then comb (distribute) it through my hair. This is a winner for me!

I wasn't sure about this product, but I love Dr. Bronner's products so I gave it a shot. I mixed 1 capful in 8 ounces of water and tried it out. Not the traditional thick, "creamy" stuff I'm used to with traditional conditioners, but it WORKS! I have short hair, so that first 8 ounces lasted for 4 applications. I'm really happy with this unusual, but effective product!

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

I crossed my fingers when purchasing this product, given its mixed reviews. I wash my hair with soap, and had been looking for a better, more moisturizing rinse than plain lemon juice or vinegar. Some previous posters mention the inconvenience of mixing this product with water each time they use it...I have a better way, I pour two capfuls (the fact that it's brown was a little different, so don't be surprised!)into an empty 8oz shampoo bottle fill it with water, after washing my hair, I pour a small amout of the mixture into my hair ( the same amout as you would use of an other conditioner), and withing a few seconds it feels like VELVET( My hair is shoulder length and medium texture)! When my hair dries, it has great shine and feels super soft. People also made comments about the scent, which also made me apprehensive to buy it, the scent is lemon juice, and it fades once your hair dries.

So, you definitely DON'T need two capfuls each time you wash your hair, it's very concentrated!

I had hoped that despite the other mixed reviews this would be better than it is. I'm disappointed in the results, however I've only used it a couple times. I don't like the smell at all and mixing a couple capfuls with 8oz of water and slowly pouring over your hair is a big pain in the neck. I'd be afraid to use it full strength just because the smell is so strong when it's diluted. I like the other Dr. Bronner Organic shampoos but I won't be buying this again.
