I absolutely love this product and highly recommend it to anyone, but especially to those who have been looking for an all-natural, all-organic (and free trade) product that is as good to the environment as it is to your hair. It is true that the product contains lemon juice (and therefore will sting cuts if you have any), and that you should dilute it in water before you use it. But the extra step is worth the effort-- I simply use an old empty shampoo bottle, pour a capful of the hair rinse in, and fill the bottle with water and shake it up. It only takes a minute or so, and you can prepare the solution the night before you shower. I am amazed how great my hair looks and smells now after shampooing with Dr. Bronner's Citrus soap and rinsing with the hair rinse. After using this product, my hair is healthier, shinier and softer than it has ever been. Gentle enough to use everyday and doesn't leave any buildup. Great with or without Dr. Bronner's hair cream (though I like the peppermint hair cream a lot too!).

Conditioning is important to me, as it helps me detangle my medium-length hair and makes it more manageable throughout the day.

I have tried 2 capfuls in 12 ounces, 2 capfuls in 8 ounces, and 3 capfuls in 8 ounces. The last mix was the most conditioning, but 2 seems to work fine.

In my experience, this does not help with detangling at all. Also, the lemon really stings/burns any small abrasions you might have on your body. My hair smells like lemonaide up until it's fully dry.

Overall, it's a pain to pre-mix and the bottle seems to be going a lot more quickly than I would like. It also doesn't do what I need for it to do, so I won't buy again.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

i was using apple cider vinegar for over a month, and it made me smell like vinegar (even after my hair dried) and gave me horrible dry, flaky scalp. this product made both of those problems go away, YAY! i'm a fan of citrus scents, so i enjoy the smell. the only thing i don't like is HOW to use it. i pour out a capful, put it into a 12 oz, plastic, condiment squeeze bottle and fill the rest with water. not only does it take more time, but it also leaves a mess when screwing the cap back onto the creme rinse bottle. seems like a waste of product. it also seems expensive for the size of the bottle.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

I started using Dr. Bronner's Shikakai Soap in my hair because of my boyfriend who has recently changed over to all natural hair products. I hated how the Shikakai soap made our hair feel & look, all matted and tangled, it felt like it hadn't been washed in a while. His hair eventually got used to the soap and softened a bit but my hair did not. My boyfriend eventually decided to get the rinse to see if it'd help both our hair soften and detangle.

I was skeptical because of some of the negative reviews but I have to admit that after using the product it is really a miracle worker. I have an empty water bottle in the shower and pour a capful into it and fill up the the bottle about 1/4 of the way with water (I have shoulder length hair). I shake it up and then pour onto all my hair. The first time I tried it, my hair immediately detangled and smoothed out, unlike the matted feeling I had after shampooing with the Shikakai soap. Due to my earlier skepticism, I was absolutely amazed that this worked like a charm AND it's all natural!

As other reviewers have mentioned, it will burn if you have any open skin or it gets into your eyes. Just be careful when you're pouring the mixture onto your head. I thought it'd be a pain to make the mixture but leaving a bottle in the shower makes it a lot easier and more convenient.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

I've been switching over to using castile soap for shampoo and the brand I use suggested doing a vinegar or lemon juice rinse as a conditioner. The vinegar left my hair looking greasy and the lemon juice drove my scalp crazy. I tried this Dr. Bronner's rinse after reading the suggestion from another person using the same brand of soap/shampoo as me. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It leaves my hair soft, smooth, and best of all, detangled! It does not irritate my scalp at all and my hair does not look greasy. It has a nice, healthy shine to it. I actually kind of like the smell, but I could see how others might not find it super appealing. I use about a capful in 1 1/2 cups of warm water and pour it on my ends rather than my scalp.

My only complaint is how small the bottle is. I can tell that it will not last particularly long and wish they would sell larger quantities to cut down on waste.

I love the soaps and lotions but this was very disappointing. It was like putting mud on my hair and certainly didn't condition it. Stick to the soap and lotions - those are awesome

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

This makes my hair super soft and shiny and almost fluffy but in a good way. Soothing to my scalp, too, and feels like fights buildup of other products. I use it as conditioner or sometimes after another conditioner. It used to have a clumpy, globby consistency, but they changed the formula and now it's nice and smooth, even a bit runny. It's still brown but that doesn't bother me - I guess that's just the color of the shikai powder, which is the main ingredient. Some people have complained about the smell. I like it. It's just lemon juice (which can sting). I love that the ingredients are so simple and pure. I have a hard time finding perfume-free, non-lavender-scented products. (I have very thick, fine, wavy/curly long hair.)

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Citrus Hair Conditioning Rinse,, 8 fl oz:

I love, love, love using Dr. Bronners Castile soaps, so naturally I wanted to give this conditioning rinse a try. I wish I had saved my money. I followed the directions for this product exactly, mixing it with water, then pouring it onto my just washed hair. I rinsed it out as much as was possible, but even after drying my hair, it looked so wet and stringy and felt so gross. I ended up having to wash my hair three times just to get my hair back to normal.

I'll still be a faithful customer of castile soaps, but I wont be trying anyother of Dr. Bronner's products. What a shame.

I mixed it before hand, 6 cap fulls in a large tresemme conditioner bottle. You pour it on your hair and then comb your fingers in your hair. I thought it worked well, and it smells good. Different but good. It took a few days for me to get used to it because it is so thin and watery. I don't have any residue in my hair. I will buy it again.

I tried multiple ways of using it because I wanted to like it since I love all the other Dr. Bronner products I've tried, but this is just not something I will ever buy or use again.

I really wish I liked this product better; after reading about the chemicals in commercial hair products, I wanted to switch to Dr. Bronner for everything. I have fine, normal hair, so don't have huge conditioning needs; but this product used as directed doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe I should try mixing it a better stronger? Hmm...
