At first I tried this on wet hair and hated it. The oils would bind to the wet hair, and it made my fine, with oilier roots and drier end hair, greasy and dirty looking and it would be hard to wash out. I wasn't sure what to do with the entire bottle I had left. Then I tried it on dry hair, after I blew it dry completely, and I liked it much better. I use a small amount, rubbed through my palms & distribute it lightly on my ends, or dry areas. If I use only a small amount, my hair absorbs the oils and looks very shiny. Great for times when I have damaged my hair with other products or too much heat styling. Protects hair when using a flat iron, too. I don't use it every day, but the bottle I originally bought has lasted me 3 years and there is still some left! If you tried it on wet hair hated it, try it on your hair once dried, it works much better. Less is more, you can always work your way up if a little isn't enough.

My husband and I have been slowly switching over products and cleaners in our house to be more natural (removing dangerous chemicals) and more eco-friendly. So far, all the products I've bought have worked out very well, but I tried this one for the first time today, and I was so disappointed. I have fine straight hair, and I was hoping to use it for detangling and leave-in conditioning after washing my hair. I tried a very small amount to begin, and I couldn't get a pick, comb, or brush through my hair. I added a little more, but didn't want to add too much based on other reviews. It took a very long time to brush and detangle my hair, but I wasn't giving up yet. After my hair dried, I went to check it out, and was shocked at what I saw. While my hair felt fairly soft to the touch, it looked like straw in the mirror, and yet it looked greasy at the same time (seems impossible, but true). The more I brushed through my hair, the greasier it looked (like I hadn't washed in days). Finally, I rewashed my hair and used my old products, which are almost gone. Still searching for that perfect product, but I definitely won't be using this again (going to see if I can return it...if not, it'll probably end up in the trash). Very sad, but I guess there's always one or two products that don't work out well when trying new stuff.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Style Cream, Peppermint, 6 fl oz:

I use this product daily- after shampooing or on dry hair it works equally well. I also have the lavender scent. It works great on my thick curly frizzy hair that is sometimes dry. As good on my hair as more expensive (and chemical laden) brands like Paul Mitchell and Redken. I have very thick hair about bob length and use about a quarter size amount, and comb or brush thru. I use a detangle spray before I use this product, FYI. Can also be mixed with a dollop of gel for more hold, but most days the Creme works fine on it's own for me. Love the scent of both the peppermint and the lavender. I also use the soaps and lotions in the same scents.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Style Cream, Peppermint, 6 fl oz:

I started off trying the Lavender version of this and liked it so much, I decided to try the Peppermint, even though it costs more. The ingredient list appears different, but in reality it's the exact same as the Lavender, except with Peppermint Oil instead of Lavender. I was happy to discover that is the only difference, because the formula on these are great. So moisterizing, it's perfect for my natural, curly hair. If you're wondering, I do in fact prefer the lavender, mainly because it's cheaper, and I tend to use this at night, and the lavender is a more calming scent. The peppermint scent is tempered by the coconut oil smell, but still is energizing and somewhat odd - to me peppermint and coconut scent don't really mesh well. But that aside, it's a great product, whichever the scent, and I highly recommend it! (the bottle has is a different design than is shown, the more traditional look that he uses with his soap with all the rantings and ravings in small print around the bottle, if anyone cares)

It took me a few uses to know how to use it properly for my hair type. I have thick, course, curly (and frizzy) hair. For me a little on those frizzy areas goes a long way. This isn't the conditioner to use right after shampooing. It's a great add-on conditioner as needed. One day I used too much and my hair felt like it needed to be re-washed. I really like this product.

I use this to control frizz and to style my dreadlocks. I have dry hair and cold weather just makes it worse, but the Bronner's keeps my hair moisturized and feeling soft. My hair absorbs it right away, so greasiness hasn't been a problem.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Style Cream, Peppermint, 6 fl oz:

My hair tends to be really dry and this has become a staple for making it behave. I use it when my hair is still wet, and comb it through. Works by itself, also seems to play nice with other products if needed. I do agree with other reviewers that -- as with most anti-frizz products -- it's best to use it sparingly, otherwise it may wind up looking a little greasy.

Comments about Dr. Bronner's Style Cream, Peppermint, 6 fl oz:

This product gives this wash and go, fine, curly, graying haired middle aged lady the ability to look good with little fuss. Yes, if you apply too much, you may call it the greasy look. I have been told it shines and it really maintains the curl (even in wind). So....too much may be just enough for some of us. This product is very forgiving. Try varying amounts; maybe a windy, outdoorsy day will require you to apply more. If you do not like what "too much" did to your hair today, sleep on it. In the morning, when you reassess, I bet you will find it is a day to just run out the door (literally a "no need to mess with a perfect hair" day.). ENJOY!
