Warnings

Tooth Whitening (bleaching) gel will only whiten natural teeth. It will NOT bleach (whiten), nor harm bonding, caps, crowns, bridges, fillings or any other artificial dental work. You may have to have the dentistry redone in order to match your new white teeth. Tetracycline (an antibiotic) stained teeth or grayish teeth are more difficult to bleach and have varied prognosis. Exposed root portion of teeth which occurs with gum recession will also not bleach. If you have amalgam (silver) fillings in, near or behind the front teeth, long term bleaching can cause the surrounding tooth to have a greenish tinge. Bleaching teeth which have a lot of translucency (see thru) can cause the teeth to become even more translucent and may give the tooth a darker appearance. It is important to consult a dentist if you have any of the above concerns.

I wanted to try something different from the whitestrips I've been using. The whitestrips work, but they always give me sensitivity for at least a few days after use and the results don't seem to last. I decided to buy this kit because it was on sale and didn't require me to bother with a light activator. I was a little nervous about making the custom trays, but it was easier than expected. I like that it comes with 4 trays because now I have a spare set. After the first use, I was shocked to see my teeth so much brighter. It was as if I just finished my 3 day treatment of whitestrips! I even got a couple of compliments the next day at work. I continued whitening for about 4 days (once per day) and have been using the little toothpaste that came with the kit once per day. I drink a lot coffee every day and two weeks later, my teeth still look like I just whitened them. I am going to buy this kit for my cousin who is getting married in January!

The product itself is effective but the instructions are absolutely non-existent on the packaging anywhere. As a result, I have just wasted an entire tube of the 22% peroxide formula because once you open the tube, there is no way to stop the flow of bleaching agent. I ended up with a whole pool of the "stuff" spilled in the tray. It might be a good product if the instructions were included in a simple format that one might actually understand. And there should be a cap to hold the unused portion until next application. This tube cost somewhere between $6 and $8 so I feel I have wasted that much money on spilled merchandise.For the "booster" tube I have no idea what to do with that "bonus." Surely do wish the producers would give users more useful information.

Brush and floss just prior to bleaching your teeth. The whitening gel is the most effective with clean teeth. It is recommended to have a professional cleaning of your teeth to insure the removal of calculus (tartar) and external stains.

Instruction Summary:
Place boil and bite trays in hot water to soften. Mold trays to the teeth. Load bleaching gel inside of trays and place over teeth to whiten.
Store trays in tray holder.

Recommended wear time:
Gel: 1-4 hours up to twice a day or overnight.
Boost: 15-30 minutes once a day

On average, noticeable results are achieved after 7-14 cumulative sessions of wear-time. Conduct your whitening session once per day until desired shade of white is attained.
