This is falsely advertised as it does not work like a 22% gel should. I have used 15% that works twice as fast as this does- I would guess it is more like 3%! Don't waste your money on this.

As long as you have dental whitening trays, this stuff works great because it contains 22% carbamide peroxide. It's a great value compared to getting the same stuff with 22% carbamide peroxide at the dentist. 22% carbamide peroxide might be an issue if you have sensitive teeth, but I don't. And like all tooth whitening products, keep it away from the gums as much as possible. No complaints! I would buy this again.

I have had my teeth whitened at the dentist, the chain that does that, and at home.
I use the tray the dentist gave me so this is pretty comfortable for me--would recommend a professional tray. However--this gel works so well I will not be making another appointment at the dentist!!

The syringes for applying this product to your bleach trays are not the right tool for the job. They are bulky and deliver too much product to the bleach trays and basically "gop" the bleach in large quantities all over the place instead of targetting the bleach in small quantities exactly where you want it. The result is wasted bleach and burned gums. From now on, I will stick with Opalescence for its superior usability / easy of application.

Very harsh on the gums. I don't know if I put too much in my bleaching trays, but I was in great pain during the process! It has been about 2 weeks and I am still not to my desired shade, but I will keep going until I am! The gum irritation subsides after a day or two.

I ordered this brand of whitener because it comes with both 22% AND 30% strength peroxide whitening gel. My dentist had given me 20% strength, which worked fine for the initial rounds of whitening. Dr. Collins' gel contains Peppermint Oil, which seems unnecessary to me. It stings; while the peroxide is fizzing around my gums, I don't need any other distractions! Moreover, the peppermint does not make the hydrogen peroxide taste any more pleasant. I do not think this whitening formula is doing as great a job as the gel from the dentist, but is is cheaper.
