ever walk in the mall, and see the people in the middle aisle kiosk promising to whiten your teeth in 20 minutes? ask them what they use.... 22% carbamide peroxide. this is the exact product they use. and the "light" they put on your teeth to "activate" the gel, is just marketing and is just a regular LED light, it looks cool, but nothing special. if you think your gums will be sensitive, go to the vitamin store, buy liquid vitamin E oil, pour some out, and dab a q-tip over and over, rubbing it all over your gums (not on your teeth!) and it will help make a barrier to protect your gums. (thats what the professionals use) and you should be good! i will definatly use this product again, since its the same that the mall people offer, for 1/4 the price, and 1/15 the price at my dentist!

I ordered this brand of whitener because it comes with both 22% AND 30% strength peroxide whitening gel. My dentist had given me 20% strength, which worked fine for the initial rounds of whitening. Dr. Collins' gel contains Peppermint Oil, which seems unnecessary to me. It stings; while the peroxide is fizzing around my gums, I don't need any other distractions! Moreover, the peppermint does not make the hydrogen peroxide taste any more pleasant. I do not think this whitening formula is doing as great a job as the gel from the dentist, but is is cheaper.

This product was very effective! I've done the kits from the dentist's office. This was less expensive and worked better.

Comments about Dr. Collins All White Bleaching Gel Syringes, 22% Carbamide Peroxide, 3 ea:

I had my teeth laser-bleached 11 years ago and I would do it again if I could afford it right now. Doctor Collins gel bleach is the next-best thing. Included with my laser-bleach were a pair of custom-made bleaching trays and two syringes of bleaching gel, and Doctor Collins is the same grade.

I drink a lot of coffee and red wine and I'm an occasional smoker. I bought this about four months ago. I used it twice a day and after four days didn't really think it was doing anything so I upped the time from 35-40 minutes to 55-60 minutes and it made a huge difference. After nine days, my teeth were very close to being as white as they were after the laser-bleaching. I mean, I'm saying this without having side-by-side photos to compare.

Now I just use it once in a while for maintenance.

Oh, and I must mention that I skipped about three or four sessions towards the end of those nine consecutive days when the nerves of my teeth became very sensitive. The sensitivity wore off quickly.

            I am repurchasing!

I bought this recently to whiten my teeth. I liked the idea that you can mold the trays to fit your own mouth.

However, even using tiny anounts of the gel, it still burns my gums when I put it on. The syringe makes i hard to get very smallest amounts out and so some always leaks over the sides of the trays. I have noticed some whitening, although not amazing effects - yet. This could be because I don't wear them every day since it hurts my gums and I need at least a day off in between wearings.

I had professional trays made at my dental office and they charged my $80 for whitening gel! After running out I went online to find a better deal. Dr.Collins seemed like a good deal because the syringes are larger. After 3 days of use, I started receiving compliments! This gel works great and faster than the brand my dentist gave me. Best of all, it saved me A LOT of money!

This gets 5 stars for results and low sensitivity to teeth. The taste is not too bad; however, it lost a star because it was irritating to my gum tissue. Other than that I was pleased with the results which were similar to a whitening from the dentist.
