Like flossing with a piece of twine. It separates badly into multiple thin strands, and then those shred. Maybe it works better if your teeth are widely spaced? This was the worst floss I've ever used - I threw it out mostly unused, it was so bad.

I have fairly closely-spaced teeth, and some popular "advanced" floss brands (Glide, in particular) won't stand up to the pressure and break or shred all the time. Prior to using this floss, my best bet had been the drugstore's generic advanced floss. It seems to work much better than Glide for me, without shredding. However, I think this BioFloss has it beat. It has all of the good attributes of the generic floss, but also seems to add in some cleaning texture. Very effective at getting stuff out from between my closely spaced teeth (the whole point of floss, right?). Not to say it wouldn't work for widely-spaced teeth. I'm sure it would be great. I just don't have any of those on which to test the floss. Haha. The texture of the floss also makes it very easy to hold in my hands and twist around my fingers. That's another downfall of the Glide-type stuff, in my book.

I will never use another brand again. This is the best tasting, most effective dental floss product ever! It leaves my mouth feeling amazingly clean, without shredding or cutting sensitive gum tissue.
