The pear scent is fantastic! It has a slight sweet taste to it as well. This product goes on so very smoothly, best I have ever tried. Highly recommended!

I ran across this brand/flavor pretty much by accident a few months back. Since then, I've gradually replaced my (extensive) lip balm supply with a combination of this (Dr. Collin's Iced Pear) and a few tubes of Burt's Bees strewn around for variety.

I bought this product initiallly because it was on sale and its contents looked decent; they didn't seem likely to make chapped lips WORSE, as so many lip balms do. The ingredients don't list alcohol (which further dries out the skin), or sweeteners (which enourage lip-licking), or other problematic items, except possibly for a tiny drop of rosemary oil. It doesn't contain petrolatum, (which is completely harmless to the best of my knowledge but just FEELS greasy to me). I can't vouch for the sunscreen agents; I don't know anything about them.

The lip balm works very well. But it's the SMELL that I really love. Some people will inevitably hate it. Also, be warned: The balm has very little flavor (a good feature, in terms of lip-licking). But it captures perfectly fragrance of ripe pears. I didn't expect to like it all that much, but one whiff changed my mind. Unless you really hate pears, give it a try! Who knows: you may end up secretly snuffling your lip balm (without actually applying it) the way I have lately....

This is the first time I've tried this lip balm. I bought it because of the SPF and flavor. It is very moist feeling and the smell is delicious. It is creamy and does tend to smear easily when applying but if you don't turn it up too far it is fine. I haven't tested the SPF since I always wear lip balm and lipstick but I think it will be fine.
