You have to order this to believe it. All my friends use electric toothbrushes and I think this does a better job, really. The bristles are long, very fine, and taper at the ends, allowing them to get into places a normal bristle can't go. The stiffness is the typical 'soft' level. Great! The only thing to know is that you can't control what color you get - the first one I ever ordered was fuschia and while I personally wish they all were, the second was green and the third black. Oh, well. So I guess you'll be getting at least one of those colors, ha!

I have used these brushes daily for 3 years, they are pricey but to me they are worth every penny. The bristle tips are thin and soft and do an excellent job of cleaning along the gumline and in between teeth. I had dental surgery last year and the brush was soft enough to *gingerly* use on the affected area within a couple of days.

I am thrilled with this toothbrush as it's the only one I've found that is truly soft and doesn't wreck my gumline. It cleans well. I'm following the cleaning system that Dr. Ellie recommends in the book "Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye", which involves certain mouthwash rinses in a specific order (Closys, Listerine, Act Fluoride Rinse) to kill bacteria and preserve the enamel, so I have absolutely no problem with keeping my teeth clean. I love that this toothbrush has longer little hairs to get in hard to reach places.
