We tried waterproof bandaids with similar results. Finally, I used these salisylic discs with their pads over it plus a self -adhering elastic bandage covering it and wrapping over the foot/ankle. I've seen them used to wrap the cotton on after drawing your blood. So I bought a couple rolls of it (around $4 each) and it works great. Plus my daughter thinks it looks cool. Then she wears a sock over it. The discs are firmly in place and none have fallen off in 1 1/2 weeks so far (I still change them and try to file down the wart every couple days). The wart looks like it is giving up the fight but wow, does it take awhile. Cons Best Uses Comments about Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Plantar, Salicylic Acid Wart Remover for Feet, 24 ea: Fantastic! I am so happy with this product. It removed a 4 yr old wart when nothing else would. I'm convinced it was the round bandage that was the cure. It stayed on my feet even during vigorous workouts and long soaks in the tub, hence keeping the medicated pad on the wart at all times. With other wart removers, the bandage would slide off in my shoe, and leave a sticky mess, but not this one. It took almost the whole box for the stubborn thing to fall off. I also took a 2-3 day hiatus after the first week to keep the healthy skin around the wart from getting too irritated. If the foot starts to hurt, then it's not the wart that's in pain, it is the healthy skin. So take a break. Use only the bandage for a few days. Once the healthy skin starts to feel better, then tack on the medicated pad again. Hurray! I'm wart-free! Pros

Comments about Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Plantar, Salicylic Acid Wart Remover for Feet, 24 ea: I spent close to $1,000 in charges at a podiatrist to have a plantar wart removed. After 6 treatments with the doctor the plantar wart returned. I bought a box of these, and two weeks later it was gone. Highly recommended! Pros Cons

Comments about Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Plantar, Salicylic Acid Wart Remover for Feet, 24 ea: Great product. So easy to use. I like that a lot of the skin comes off quickly because that shows it's working since plantar warts are deep below the surface. Pros

Comments about Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Plantar, Salicylic Acid Wart Remover for Feet, 24 ea: You apply the little medicated discs to the middle of the wart, stick it on and cover it with another, bigger, disc that sticks to your foot. It is a comfort pad and helps protect the small disc that medicated your foot. Pros

Comments about Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Plantar, Salicylic Acid Wart Remover for Feet, 24 ea: I am using these on my right foot and I think they work really well. I've found the adhesive on the bandages to be extremely durable- I think they would stay on for a week if I didn't take them off myself. It is a long process, I think the package recommends needing to use them for 4 weeks, but they gently cause the skin to peel off. I am on about week 3 and have seen a noticeable improvement. They do remove quite a bit of healthy skin too, but I don't think it's a big deal at all. Overall I think this is a very reasonable alternatvie to going to the doctor and it's been working well for me. ![]() |
